The Fall/Winter Series is in the books and now it's time to start up the next phase of fun! Here is the official thread for the 2012 Spring/Summer Points Series. We had a great turn out for the Fall/Winter Series and would love to increase participation for this upcoming series. We are also now an approved and recognized club with USRCCA, so a few things will be changing because of that. We need to complete 4 events before the end of May, and have a crawl-off with NOSTR, the other club in Ohio. The winner of the crawl-off held in June at a neutral location will be invited to compete at nationals!!

With this taking place on short notice, the first 4 comps will seem like they are on top of each other, but we will stretch the remaining 3 out over the rest of the summer. This change will also negate the tie score for the day gets the same points rule we have used in past series. If there is a tie in total points for the day, the tie will be broken by course 3 score, then 2, then 1. If all scores are the same, then the tie will be broken by course 3 time, then 2, then 1. If there are any questions, we can explain at the first comp!

All are invited, There willl be 7 events w/two throw aways. This means we will take the best 5 events and that will be your final series score. We will continue with the weekend / AM schedule as done in the past, holding each event on Sunday mornings.

For this series:

-There will be a $7 entry fee per event, $5 for club members. (any indoor comp will require an additional $5 to the Boulder House for the use of the facilities).

-For a $35 ($25 members) buy in you will be able to run in 5 events and receive a T-shirt. Beyond that you will pay for additional events at $7 ($5 members) a piece. Anyone who competes in 5 or more events will get a t-shirt once they have paid for their 5th event if they chose not to do the buy in (granted they have paid for all 5 by the NEXT to last event for correct shirt orders). After payment, your shirt will be available at the final comp. Having paid for 5 events or more will also get you your ticket into our awards party and include your meal at this event.

-We will be comping at 10am on sunday mornings.

-We will be using the current national rules for progress (-2 per gate, Not Progressive Scoring). We will NOT be using the 20pt and carry rule option in this series..

There will be two spotters and one judge per driver per course. We need spotters and judges to be proactive and cognizant of the driver and course they are judging. Please pay attention and position yourself in a way you can effectively see all obstacles/gates.

These events are meant to be fun and we want to keep it that way, but we also need to make sure everyone is getting the same fair judging as everyone esle.

The schedule is as follows:

4/15/12 - Emerald Parkway
4/29/12 - Wooster Course
5/6/12 - Josh's Course
5/20/12 - Emerald Pkwy Ravine
7/8/12 - Griggs Reservoir
7/29/12 - Oakes Quarry Park
8/26/12 - BoulderHouse

Again, all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. We have a wide range of knowledge and are always willing and eager to help a newbie out with rig setup or driving tips. Hope to see you soon!!!

Check this post frequently for series updates.

Thank you

He is afraid of getting bullied around:lmao:

I have only been afraid of one bully since i started and that one is no longer in the mix ...I have been slacking on my driving trying different things with my rig , so now i am going back to the old set-up and i am not going to get bullied at all this summer :flipoff:

Yea sometimes a little change is good"thumbsup"

So where is this place called TBD where all our comps are being held. Any GPS location or a map to it??????:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Looking like it will be a good day weather wise! If we aren't hit to hard with the "scattered showers" on Saturday, we can probably crawl the ravine."thumbsup"

Stop #1

O.k. everyone....it looks like it is supposed to be nice tomorrow with spotty storms later today. The official decision for tomorrow's location is this:

We will be comping at Emerald Parkway. Hopefully in the ravine, but if it is flooded, we will be under the bridge.

Unfortunately, the weather isn't supposed to hit us until it is too late to make the call, so we will just run with what is above to play it safe.

See everyone in the morning!

TeeJay's Morse and High at 8:00 for those interested"thumbsup"

Draw numbers at 9:45, first driver on the rocks at 10:00
