Calling All Western Pa Crawlers

Rkcrwlr, I like that set up there on the drill press. I may have to bring a case so we can knock out wheels and new chassis plates once you better.

I think if I eased up on the throttle any more the truck wouldn't even move. I just have the ablity to break an anvil with a glass hammer. I can drive the same line, same throttle or less throttle as someone else but I will break stuff!

I think the servos are just overloaded with a bad angle on the servo horn from the draglink. The mount works well, but places the servo up to high for my taste. It worked well enough that I havent really wanted to change until now. So hopefully a BTA servo mount will fix that issue.

Hope ya get better there Rkcrwlr, sucks to be sick, espically when it is as bad as it is outside.

Sounds like a plan to me. I am in no hurry, way too much to do on the rig anyways. This is its first big overhaul in far too long.

On those BTA servo mounts, are you able to keep links and shocks in the same mount or do they need to move?

On the BTA...you can keep them on the same mount...I will try to get you a pic.

"thumbsup"

SCC...where is that???

sorry, i haven't checked this thread in a while. the place i am talking about i have just heard of, but it is one of the entry points to the montour trail. it's part of an old quarry. in the summer time, they have concerts and stuff there, too. i'll find out some details, and being that this is my last week of work for a bit, maybe next week i'll go out and try and find it and take some pics.

and also, you gottan love drill presses with a cut-off wheel on them! i'm actually going to be trying to use mine to rip some 1/2" square tube stock in half....

Hey everyone,
Go to this website and sign on. AB Charles Hobby Shop was nice enough to give us a Rock Crawling Forum for local use. The great thing about it is on the first page, we can enter into a Live Chat to discuss things in real time.

Go to this link to see the forum. Then sign up...it's free. After you sign up, post to the thread that you are on. This will be great for live chats on club planning.

Hope to see all of you there.

Thanks,
John

Thanks for the info on the hobbyshop. I will have to look them up. It is about 1.5 hours from me, but so is every other hobbyshop. I will have to check them out.

Kind of under the weather so I was messing with Club names and logos.

I know we wanted to stay away for Steel City.

How about this?

This is only a suggestion. Any ideas would be great. Just thought I would throw this out there.
