California is...........

Do you think we would not have fought this tooth and nail if it were real?

I am not saying if this is real or not, but have you looked at the propositions that come to ballot lately? They have about 3 word worth of useful information to "decscribe" the prop, and who knows how much other shit that is piggybacked on that prop. I dont know about your county/city, but to actually understand what the hell the props were on my recent ballot took a LOT of looking into on my part...

Hey, don't include my hometown of San Diego as part of California, military and their training is still a big part of this town. BTW, most of the screwball Californian's were sent by you clowns from other states, usually east of the Rockies. :ror:

Damn you have been busy spreading this made up stuff around.

I would approve of this kind of spending if we had everything we needed, the state was running smoothly, and they had a budget surplus...No wait, who am I kidding? I would never approve of this even under those conditions.

Unfortunately that is not what is happening here, the dumb sheep decided it was a good idea to pass a tax increase to fund schools even though in the bill it states that politicians can basically take the same amount of money out and just replace it with the new tax money...Its just a way to get more money into the general fund so they can do with it whatever they want to. Of course even the sheep wouldnt go for that so they said it was for the kids and everyone feels bad and votes yes.

The actual solution would be to reform the school system so that our kids get a quality education that doesnt cost tax payers a fortune. They already get 40% of our budget but I guess that isnt enough, I wonder how much that is per kid per year, probably more than it would cost to put them all in quality private schools. What a disaster this state is!

Wake up and smell the turds, it only goes downhill from here!

Words can not express how glad i am i dont live there anymore.... that is the stupidest shit i have ever heard......
i have now problem with people who want the surgery but Seriously WHY the F@%K should tax payers have to pay for it??????????????????
how does that make any damn since even to a LIBTARD....

Where did you live?

A LOT of states face the same problems when it comes to education. Too many people think that solution to fix the education issues is to just throw money at it.(mainly the teachers and other staff) So they keep throwing money at it and it still does not get fixed and th ekids still do not have the materials they need. I have several relatives of my aunt that are retired teachers. They all retired at 55 YO making 85%-90% of their working salary plus the majority of their healthcare paid for.(yes thansgiving with them is boring to say the least) Those kind of benefits have to be paid for somehow. The teachers have to be paid fairly for their work however they have to be on a closer tier to the private sector and the working stiffs that are paying the taxes.

I guess I must have made it all up. You better not click any of the links below.

[Clipped]

Now show me some links where it is stated with sources that this will actually happen.

I've read a fair sampling of your threads and posts and have come to the conclusion that you are a complete troll and your opinion is as worthless as a two cent Tijuana whore

On the other hand your posts that exclude any opinion seem good.

So the jury is out...

I agree with everything you said. I will add a couple things.

With the way the system works here it is very hard to fire a teacher even if they have done something seriously wrong, like inappropriately touching a student. Of course something like low performance vs. other teachers in the school is even harder if you cant get rid of a grabby teacher. In any private sector job in CA the employer has the right to terminate any employee for any reason, unless you can prove that you were terminated because you are being discriminated against you are basically SOL and they can list any reason to let you go. Good luck proving anything.

All the schools in my area have been constantly remodeling since I was a kid (of course right after I left each school they would be upgraded). New gyms, new football fields, new tracks, new this, new that, and no money to teach kids...Huh? I must have missed something.

If they would just focus on teaching the kids we would not have a problem at all and our youth would get a much better education. First things first, after school activities are second to actual learning. Next, teachers and other faculty need to be held accountable just like any employee should. If their performance is not up to par they need to shape up or ship out, with the amount of qualified people that are out of work all over the country it should be easy to find a suitable replacement. Next, stop trying to dumb down the curriculum so kids can pass. Now instead of regular and advanced placement we have like 6 levels of everything, keep it simple stupid if kids arent serious about learning the material they can try again next year. Dumbing down the content of the classes is not the answer to provide a proper education, it is a good way to keep the graduation rate high though. By eliminating redundant classes you can get rid of a lot of additional work that is truly unnecessary.

Of course, if you only have $5 for dinner you dont go to the most expensive restaurant in the area...You go to McDonalds or hit up the grocery store and pick up some stuff to make at home. I dont see why working with a budget on a larger scale for a state is any different, coming up short every year is not doing a good freaking job. Adding additional services that are really only "feel good" services that help a very small minority is not in the best interest of the state or city as a whole. How many transgender people can there truly be vs. the rest of the city of San Francisco? What 0.01%? Even that seems high! I have not seen one personally but I dont go hang out in the Castro district at all either.

That's not just California......that is all over the country. I read a story a while back about a female teacher that had molested a number of the female students at her school (I believe it was elementary school). Did the school district fire her? Nope. They moved her to a new school..........where she had fresh meat........yeah, unions are wonderful...

Was it a Catholic school?

When I was was in middle school we had a young teacher that was a real piece of work. He always flirted with the girls and threatened the kids often with "shoving a pencil up their nose" among other things. They eventually moved him up to teach at the high school after enough complaints were filed.

One of my aunts relatives that was a teacher was teaching before the unions, while the unions were being introduced and after the unions took hold. It was interesting hearing her point of view, which was overall negative towards the teachers unions.

A union can be fine if it done right and does not go out of control. For the most part the public sector unions have been out of control for decades.
