Cairns Scale Crawlers

I made a solo recon trip up Walsh's pyramid yesterday , just to see if it can be done.
The view from the south,

and from the north.

The trail is mostly really technical, some of the bigger obstacles took half a dozen attempts to clear.

Some couldnt be cleared and "B" lines were made.

Thats a heap of elevation !

This was not going to be a chance of getting thru, luckily the rockface on the left was an easy climb and looped back around to the main trail above this rockpile.

A little bit of slickrock.

It was 2 x 2200 3S batteries to this spot and that was enough for me, the next trip will be winch assisted !
The Ultra4 silver tyres were awesome grip and the scale looks cant be beaten.

Went out for another run with north Kona. Up at Baron Gorge near the power station. Had a bit of a play with a couple of different camers. While Northkona put his new rig through its paces.

Sounds good , we'll try to organise a trail run soon . There's plenty of good spots down here we go to but always keen to see some more "thumbsup"

Hay Darcy, I'm looking forward to heading up your way to Speewah and hiting the trails. That was a great morning sunday. Ill keep you posted as to when we are heading up the Pyramid. The short run I had up there with Scotty was a lot of fun.

I managed to make a very short vid from sunday. Should have taken a bit more footage! But eh! You gets what you gets.

Spent the weekend up at Granite Gorge with the family. Absolutly beautiful. Did lots of bush walking on Saturday. Then followed that up with a bit of trailing Sunday morning. Northkona kindly loaned me Avis for the weekend, which alowed me to trail with my daughter. If you listen closly to the video you can hear her laughing and woohooing. Happy days!

Looks like you pair had a great weekend. Great to see the kids getting involved and having fun. Will have to pick a nice easy track again one day and i will bring my kids and wife along too. They all have Axials of their own so would be a good day.

Went for a run up the Pyramid over the week end. Had a lot of fun and managed to shoot a bit of video. Ended up only taking the gopro along for this run so the vid is not as good as it could be! Played with a few different settings on the camera and the editing program, as well as added in some tunes.
