BMW concept ///M4 coupe revealed (Harley?)

Yeah and all those Kias and Hyundais are trying to look like the popular good looking cars for a reason. To sell them. They took styling cues from the leading manufacturers, ie Benz, BMW, Honda and offer them for half the cost. They used to use their ten year warranty on the whole car as a selling point, until they realized that wasn't gonna work cause the cars were shit. Now they build better cars that look pretty decent for less money. Hence seeing them all over the place.

Even after they try to look like the well established brands they fail to look good in any form.

I love the looks of a muscle car. I love the 1990 dodge viper. When I was a teenager I carved out by hand a doge viper out of wood. It was 12 inches long. I had never worked on wood before that. I got couple of small cuts on my hands doing it but the final work was amazing. The only part I could not do right was the rear end. Some how I messed up the rear shape. My father was pretty amazed at what I had done and still praises me on that one.

So remind me, why its worth it to spend twice the cash for a bimmer again? :flipoff:

I said decent, not great. I'll pay for greatness if I wanted to. Besides not wanting to drive a Korean car, but I'm entitled to my opinion about that.

If you want to drive a bland and dull car everyday go right ahead. I won't fault anyone for that. I drive an '02 Civic Si hatchback. I like it. When others drive it they get out and always say the same thing, "fun car". That's why I have it, and I'm a Honda fanboy…

Drive what ever you want. Wear whatever you want, who cares.

You know the rules, pictures or you're a liar.

Agreed, drive what you want. I have always built toyota's trucks so naturally I have fleet of them and that's all that my wife and I own. Nothing around here is stock and boring, it's all lifted or lowered. Stock sucks in 99.9% of it's forms.

Removing the first few sentences really can change that paragraph...

Your imagination has no limit...:ror:

and frequently I am terrible in forming a sentence. I need to look out at my grammatical mistakes.

Ok so I will first say I am a bit biased towards bmw since I have only owned bmw's (two e34s and now my e39). So with that out of the way, I will clear something up. There will be no more m3 coupe's. There will be 3 series coupe's I believe, just not from the ///M division. I do think this M4 looks really good, and will probably drive just fine. But I, like a majority of fellow BMW friends of mine (and many more across the world) that the direction BMW has taken isnt the greatest. But all manufacturers seem to be doing the same. Too many computers, too many gadgets. All taking away from the original feel of the ultimate driving machine. I myself prefer the older, classic designs, like the e21, e30, e34, e31. But I guess even cars have to grow up.

One other thing I have to talk about is all the talk about comparing cars. BMW vs. whatever, or any other comparison. Sure, you can go buy a new Kia that has many, if not all of the same features as the new 5 series bimmer. Yes its a nice car, yes its brand spanking new, yes its a good looking car. But until we see how long they last, a true comparison isnt fair. Its proven that BMW's, Merc's, and most higher end cars simply hold up better over time. And it doesnt have to be strictly european. A cadillac will hold up better over a saturn, and thats all GM. Its a testament that better quality and build obviously works better for longer. Also, theres a lot of people on here that seem to be brand loyal. So all the hate just doesnt make sense to me. We will all drive what we want, build it however we want. Who cares about the price, its just a number. If one decides to spend 60k for a car when they can get a comparable one for much less, that should only be a concern for the one forking out the dough

It looks like this is a full second faster than the GXP 0-60.

Don't matter what you drive if your in a race, second place is losing.
