The standard micro servo in the RTR SCX10 III Bronco is.. adequate.. until it gets hung-up for a bit. The overload protection will slowly get it into neutral, but it will eventually burn, as I found out when my 2-speed was just a tad off, i.e. the stroke of the servo was just a hair beyond the needed amount. It wasn’t buzzing, or anything, however, end result : S107 crapped-out on me. ( as it apparently did with many other peeps)
Which micro servo would be a more robust/dependable option. Would the Traxxas shift servo’s with metal gear be a bit better? ( just to name something)
Before You ask : Yes. I dó like the 2-speed, even though the difference isn’t like the TRX4. There’s not a whole lotta gearing-difference. Is it useful? Mêh.. not really.. a bìt more noticable since I replaced the Dynamite 35t with a 21t 550- but I like the technical aspect of it. 8) I also never actually use the dig, but left it in working order for the fun of it.
