im looking for some fairly cheap shock for my hilux, that will flex alot more easier. With the stock shocks on my scx10 they flex, but then they rarely flex and i flip over :x . Plus when im on the course, i cant always climb up on the wooden suspended course to unflip my truck because it wont flex easy and it causes me to flip. I saw some proline shocks at my hobby store for 40 bucks? Are those good?? I will be using them for comp crawling and for trail crawling with my hilux body

its no problem if its going to rub, i can fix that, what i do need is some more flex and will i get that with the proline shocks??

Why not try softer springs first?

Ultimately a shock is a shock.

What you need is to try "tuning" them, and a softer spring is your best bet. As well as removing the bump stop.

Try a set of losi crawler White springs and remove the bump stops. If you want to buy new shocks I recogmend the Traxxas big bores, they work great and DON"T leak.

Yeah, I tuned my stock AX10 shocks to where I wanted them, one of the few remaining "stock" parts on my AX10. Tuned my SCX10 shocks too and now I am much happier with them.

If it doesn't leak, any shock can get it done.

I don't think the losi springs can fit on the stock scx shock properly. It's too big a coil.

But I agree that the traxxas big bore as being the best option. Especially for the price. The 8 pack is hard to beat.

i have ax10 shocks (120mm) and as long as you have weights in the wheels you are perfect! heres a pick of my rig with them! Always have traction to the ground..."thumbsup"
