Best method for adding LED's?

If I wanted to add additional LED lights to the existing light kit on the SCX10 can I simply splice the wires (red/black next to the harness) together or would I have to loop them in? If there is another thread that someone can direct me towards that would be appreciated!

I believe either way would work electrically.
The bigger issues are:

-Does the input power support more LED's?
-Are the matching resistors at the LED or in the box/harness??

I just cooked 2 leds in the axial kit after I spliced 2 more bulbs in  they burned instantly,
and they where from another axial kit so the bulbs where the same

I wired 2 more LEDs from the Shack to my Honcho circuit and have had many hours of use with no problems. Just wire it correctly and there should be no issues.

if you put a resistor on each of the new LED,s your putting in you should have no problem. ive got a total of 13 lights on mine, wired in parralell and a resistor to each light just to be safe.
