Had an awesome time. Was just what I needed. I always enjoy just driving the rig around and trying different lines.
I still think we should do a follow the leader event at one of our comps. I am thinking it would be ideal for a finals course. Top 5 drivers, and you all have to follow eachother. Scoring could be a challenge with 5 guys going at once, but my basic thought is, the first guy says what he is going to do, then does it. Everyone else follows. If you don't make the obsticle as the 1st guy did, 10 points added to score. If the first guy doesn't do the obsticle, 20 points added. 6-8 minutes total time. And after each obsticle, everyone moves up one position. So the 2nd guy becomes 1st, 3rd becomes 2nd, and the 1st place guy becomes 5th.
And it sounds like I better think about a 2wd short course truck and a late model body to run on ashphalt. I love that idea, simple and inexpensive.
If the weather is nice this weekend, I might take the gates back out to immerman and try to make a couple courses, I'll let you guys know if I am planning on going.
