Bay City or Tri Citys MI

A ball diff is only as good as the person building it. The Mip ball diffs are actually great diffs. If its to tight its useless and will probley smoke the idler ! if its too loose it will burn the Ring's & balls. Back in the day thats the only kind of diff a RC10 had. so if raced it was do or die. and the ese diffs come with carbide diff ball's so it cant be too bad. and it hard to listen too anyone on RCSC becouse half of them should be hit in the head with a hammer. Becouse there retards!!!!!

I had a rc10t3 with ball diff and rebuit it 3 times and it still ginded real bad too tight ginded even more too loose and it wouldnt spin the tires I sold it couldnt get it to set right just never had good experiance with ball diffs really the gear ones are still good its personal preferance

Its all set up!!!! I blew 4 gear diff's last year and the kid blew one also! switched to a ball and never had a problem. and the problem with a gear is getting it to hold fluid. or even grease if its a slash.

Better change out the ball diff for the gear diff on the blitz they seem to go to crap alot and grind alotthe ese isnt really worth it by my understanding
Even the mip diffs have problems

Ball diffs are the ONLY way to go if you know how to build them. Plus racing you can adjust it with a quick turn of a wrench instead of tearing everything apart at the track.

besides dont worry about me and my diff situation...you better change out that stock rack and replace it with an strc steering rack and bearings or spend $$$ and buy high dollar hpi steering rack!!!"thumbsup"

Already on top of the strc steering kit. Ordering 2 of them

And I'm not out to be serious about racing. Replace things as they break or need upgraded just out to have fun with my son. Winning would be a bonus. Were headed out to ams on saturday to do some practicing and tuning. Lipos and charger should be in tomorrow so I'm excited about that. Ordered up a set of pinion gears also and they might be in tomorrow also.

Ball diffs or gear diffs don't bother me. Iv just been reading about lots of problems with the stock balls. And not just rcsc.

from what ive been reading there pretty strong truck out the box minus the steering rack...depending on how i feel i may go out and buy a big tackle box and break the rtr all they way down and use it as a parts truck and focus more on the ese

Don't go with the strc... Rex didn't like his....

Timmy don't by a tackle box... Come over and pick one out! I have a stack I want gone.

Tim!!! Just sell that roller!!! Its worth more that what ya paid for it! or just use it for a basher. Or knowing you use to run while your other is tore apart!!!!

dude it wont take that long to tear down and put back together...just a quick take alum off replace back to stock plastic and pull the trans apart and pull the diff apart and put back to together...cool thing about hpi blits there only 4 bolts to take off the truck and tranny is in your hands! :flipoff:

Well Ive been doing some major research on some lap counter systems! I'm going to try to contact robotronics tomorrow to find more out about theres. The only bad thing is that your going to have buy your own transponder Or I start renting them out! But there only $30 .
