Bay City or Tri Citys MI

Got my new servo horn today. The wraith it ready for some bashing. Now we just need some more snow.

Well I got most of my orders in. Tonight I will be installing the 4x4 steering, new receiver, receiver box and speed control in the slash. I'm presently in the process of stripping the old paint off of the slash. It's working but not as fast as I would like. I took some pics so I'll post the results.

Not sure yet. Probably won't pick up a kit for a little bit. But the kit is only 239 on rpp or easy payment from tower. Edit; just looked and $25 off 199 orders and free shipping and some times they have $50 off so that would put it at 200 yeah I'll be getting another one.

Think a 8.5 is a little much?

I Defenantly got the better end of a deal. I'm ready to go fast, real fast.

Well after some major scrubbing i got the paint removed from the slash. Bad news is some I couldn't get and the red really never went away. It left a pinkish haze. I'm in the process of painting so I'll post pics when I get it all done.

Slash is almost ready, just need my batteries. They will be here on Monday. See yah on Sunday.

I used the paint remover from the hobby store. It doesn't look that good but better than it did before. I'll back it with some black and then post some pics later.

Well once again I did something dumb. I forgot to put the new body holes in the body while it wasn't painted, so now I have to work a little harder. Anyway here are the pics. The firs ones are what it looked like before I started stripping it.

Here is the stuff I used. It worked pretty good but you still had to scrub a lot. Wow that picture was really blurry. I used the whole bottle. Rodger did say it works better on paint from a can, not as good with the factory paint.

Here is the stripped down version. You will notice a pink haze. Red doesn't come out well, and I also left some black and white. Hoping for a rough look.

Here is the final version. Four coats of duck hunter brown and one coat of black. In the last pick you will see a close up of some of the red that I couldn't get rid of.
