Bay City or Tri Citys MI

Any racing or anything going on this weekend. I have been messing around with my SC10, just need to get off my butt and get out to a track..

Stu - a few of us are headed out to Rad n Bad in Gladwin for some testing today. Free Open Practice everyday. Address is:

440 East Sunoil Rd.
Gladwin, MI

I will shoot you a PM with my number. There should be a handful of 4wd SC's.

Anyone have a Losi SCT or a SCB that they would wanna trade? I am trying to pick up another pan car for this winter and he isn't interested in my Blitz

Sorry I missed you guys. Got stuck helping out with a bridal shower. YUCK...
I felt like a dog in his cage. LOL...

I'll be at the comp on the 14th, hopefully with both rigs in good working order. Parts are on order and I am waiting patiently.
The SC10 is just about ready to go. Have the sway bars in and I have a set of springs on order as we speak. Should be 100% very soon.

Thanks again. If you guys are going one night this week after work, or what not, let me know. I work in Midland.

Leaving for Bark River this afternoon. If anybody makes it to the TORC races this weekend, stop by E8 in the pro pits and say hi!

well, the track turned out sweet, we are going to put some jumps and a rithem section in next, might be done by sunday not sure but either way we will be out their with the trucks, so get your suday race suits on and come check it out"thumbsup"

anybody up for a scaler run?

Just got back from a great location, me and the boy took the blazer and honcho out and had a blast. Nice spot down by the Cass River in frankenmuth behind Zenders.

We just got back, recharging grabbing some dinner and headed back out later today.

If anybody is intersted let me know, any weekend or weekday is good for me. we could set something up.

So blow the dust off of the trucks and bringing them out and beat them up!

Pat! Is your dad running????

Yeah, first weekend with the new truck went fairly well. We ended up 10th on Saturday and 8th on Sunday. I spent the whole weekend trying to get the shocks right and will definitely have them dialed in Crandon. Now to get my old man to spend some $$$$ on a cheater motor so we can keep up."thumbsup"

Hook, I may be down to run on Sunday if I don't head to Rad n Bad!

anybody up for a scaler run?

I am gonna start working on the XJ again right after the SC's are fixed and the pan cars are clean/tweaked for fall racing! Nick - You gonna run the cellar this year? Outlaw Legends (8.5 Turn....) will be the class to watch this year!

yo yo ho hos.

so im looking at putting another crawler/scaler together.

how do you guy like the losi comp axles and tranny setup?

im debating between using the Losi Axles and Tranny.
maybe Wraith Axles and Tranny (initial intentions)

or maybe a set of the RC4WD Worminators or perhaps their D60 axles.

seen a guy on ebay selling a new metal type axles for 150 for the pair (f and r) they look pretty good, but unsure of the quality, build specs. thinking of trying to get some info on them.

but anyways, out of the axles that are around, including the original ax10 axles, which would you use for a USEable Scaler build.

will be going under a wreckluse.

Axial AX10 axles hoped up.
Wraith axles
Losi Comp axles (1/10)
RC4WD Worms
RC4WD D60s
Ebay Axles ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160626910539&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT )

In my opinion I would go with Axial Axles. Losi worm gears had problems in the begining by what iv under stood.

Either Axial AX10/SCX10 axles with axle extenders or the new Wraith axles due to the width, that chassis seems to be top heavy and would eaisly tip over during side hilling. the extra width would help stableize the truck more....

but thats just my opinion.

Hey guys,
Actually sat and worked on my little blazer project tonight, got it runnable so if anyone wants to crawl tomorrow night sometime let me know

hey tim i have been workin on a class 3 trail rig with a rc4wd r2 tranny and a killer scale t case and axial axels and rear steering just because i'm tired of my dig messing up. let me know some time when you get your scaler together...

biggest choice is axles still. not sure which way to go, but im going to go with the axial tranny, again, may go with the wraith tranny over the older system, or the losi tranny. also thinking of that rc4wd scaler motor (hide the leccy one ) and a transfer case as an option. have to doa bit of math for the finale drive ratio should i go that route.
could be a few. lol
