Bay City or Tri Citys MI

Well I made some purchases Sunday. I finally broke down and bought the novak rooster for my rig. Its in the mail...

In other news. I bought an old Old OLD rc-10 Id say late 80's. This is the skinny one, gold tub with the white suspension that has all the millions of adjustments to it. I allready got my 1.9's on it  it looks awsome with them. So the plan is to make this a scale VW baja for the trail. I cant wait for the body and some other parts. I had it functional and it is VERY fast :)
Ill post pics soon.

The dog party 2 is the 19th if anyone is interested in going"thumbsup" $10 bucks a person to get in.

Sorry to be the lame ass who is out of the loop and all...but what is the dog party?

BTW had a great time crawling Sunday...Sorry if me and the dingo were not in tune, but it was our first time on the rocks together"thumbsup"...I really think I will get her dialed soon...maybe dump the Baja claws and go back to the Flat irons...who knows but I just wanted to apologize to ya'll for basically making my Dingo into a moving rock hazard:oops:

Again big thanks to Clayton for opening up the garage to the likes of me and to all you Tri-city crawlers for the help, the ideas, and all that sorta stuff, it makes it a real blast coming out!

Yeah, although the baja claws look really good, they kinda suck on the rock by what everybody says, unless you get differant or modify the existing foams. Id like to pick up a pair for a bogger project. that or the TSL boggers

Its similar to to what we do at nicks on sunday but with real trucks.

Its at twisted trails offroad park in copemish, Mi. Its pretty much just a HUGE party. (Over 4000 people at the first one a few weeks ago) Theres miles of trails for all classes of trucks, Mud bogs, drag races, Rock courses, and the best part..... a bunch of idiots wrecking there trucks.

Go to youtube and search "dog party 2011"

Ok pics of my current project. Im waiting on a sand scorcher body. Still thinking about the color options. The car is functional and is hella fast. "thumbsup"

Dan, I had one of those back in 91. It was my first real rc. Had a lot of fun with it and even raced it some on a track in Allendale.

On a side note I went to ace today to pic up some new internal springs and found a great deal. They have a craftsman dual bag combo that regularly is $19.99 and it was on sale for $9.99. The large bag is big enough that my crawler fits in it with some room to spare. I'll try to put pics up later tonight.

Pat if your reading this, could you please order me on of those rods. I'm going to get some traxxas rod ends to make my own links. Not sure if I need solid rod or hollow. I would need to be able to insert 3mm connectors into it. Not sure what's best/would take the least amount of work and would be the strongest.

i disagree twizted i think the baja claws work great on the rock expecailly compared to the junk ass flat irons and out in the cold on the rock in the ttc 2 weekends ago and i promise the made the 2.2 tsl look like crap on the same surface same challange and same line.. it all really depends on the driver mainly tho if they work for ya they do if not then they dont but ill give em a great rating any time cuz i dont have weight in mine i dont even have hole drilled in the rims and those botches work

Will do Jeff. I want to try the solid rod so I will order a stick for us to split. I will have it at Nick's on Sunday.

Dan, that thing looks awesome!"thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup"

Nick as always thanks for a warm place to crawl.

Well bout time this thread kick'in off good!!!
BTW Dan- nice old old school rc10! Just don't go to wild on motor as those diff's don't last!!

:shock: V8 that is one BAD machine!!

Im likin the rc-10. It is a tad overpowered but hey if you aint braking stuff its not fun "thumbsup"

Waiting on the body and mounting kit.

cleaned up all the wiring today.

Think I may restore the steering to stock as the modded setup does not have much turning radius. Ill play.
