going to see what RPP has in stock and get my parts in

Awesome work so far, Badger. What color are you thinking for the body or are doing something custom?
I painted the body white with white trim and white accents, it's a very complex paintjob. :ror:

the outer panelling is still 99% same tho, so maybe they just tweaked the mould?
Agreed. I think they just cut out the interior of this body to use on the Jeep Wraith.

Sorry for the delay in posting build pictures, work has been killing me during the week.

On to more build pictures....

Cage built and set on the body for comparison shots with the Jeek JK

Icon Vehicle Dynamics Aluminum Shocks not only look great but are very smooth and IMO are a must have in this G6 kit. "thumbsup"

Being that this is a G6 edition Jeep I thought my Vanquish Products Currie Rockjock axles were a perfect fit considering they have been through a G6 night run & Terra Cross race at Axial Fest, crawling at 'the bean' on a rainy day with DTP and have been seriously abused crawling/jumping at local spots over the last year.

I really like the kit, except 3 things. First, the light bar looks like it would get hung up too much. Second, no spare tire. Third, no tow points on the back.

If your light bar on your roof is getting hung up; You're doing it wrong.

Hey Badger,

Thank you for the update. Just a couple of things. It looks like a 5" LED light bar might fit on the existing cage. The VP 5" light bar is 5.6" wide. Could you please measure the distance between the existing brackets. I think I might have to make custom brackets to fit a VP 5.6 inch light bar.

Second, have you given any thought to where you want to mount a spare? I'm thinking on top of the cage or build a rear bumper with a tire carrier.

Thanks.

Looks good Badger, gotta love the pics of the Axialfest RT-X event with your Jeep JK. I had such a fun time racing next to ya. :) Can't wait for a flying picture of this new rig.

Finished painting the body and installing the cage then stickered it up. I'm really really digging this new body!

I thought these new lexan light buckets were going to be great but I was wrong. The lexan where your supposed to ream out the hole for the running lights is so thin that it is impossible to ream or drill out a clean hole without tearing the lexan which makes it useless for holding an LED for the running lights.

But I was able to ream out the holes for the headlights so I added some aluminum foil tape and a 5mm LED holder.

You may have noticed that I cut out the grill sections in the first pics, I used a dremel and even after spending a shit load of time on it they only turned out so so. Oh well, at least you can see the awesome scale aluminum radiator from the TheScaleShop.

Yep, I'm going to take the rest of the body on pics tomorrow after I mount the front bumper.

are you going with an aftermarket front or rear bumper? maybe a winch? or are you just going with factory stuff as of now? looking really good so far! "thumbsup"

I love how that light bar mounts!! I just bought the Axial 5 light universal light bar for my Wrangler JK. Axial Racing - Universal 5 Bucket Light Bar Set

I have it mounted so high it might look funny to most. I wish I had the mounts and cage from that new Jeep!! I guess I could slightly modify my cage now. It still wouldn't mount that low no matter what I do. Oh well it is for my girlfriends Jeep and I doubt she will roll it. It is a pretty strong bar anyway for plastic.

I could post a pic if anyone wants to see it? :D

I left a hint in the last picture of what I'll be mounting to the front.

i see what you did there ;-)

but what about a rear bumper? any ideas?

"thumbsup" Nothing yet. I lowered the body mounts all the way down in the rear and actually like how the back end looks with no bumper. Very clean and sleek.
