Huge thanks to Rodney & crew at Axial for sending me their latest release, the Axial SCX10 Jeep Wrangler G6 kit! Big props to Brian Parker for all he has done with his RECON G6 events and now getting the recognition he deserves with a G6 edition SCX10 Jeep Wrangler kit. "thumbsup"

I have big plans for my G6 Jeep and will initially be taking pics and showing the differences that come with this new kit compared to the original SCX10 Jeep JK.

First off is the art work on the box both inside and out.

Next up is the new 2-door Jeep Wrangler Rock Racer Body with integrated front fenders, trail modified smooth sides and a dove-tailed rear end.

Sweet. I am excited to see what you are going to do with the build. I have been waiting to see what kind of things people have in mind with the new G6 edition.

I scrounged through my new parts bin and found a Robinson Racing hardened Steel Idler gear and a hardened Alum. diff gear so I built the transmission using them. I will be ordering a 1 piece hardened steel diff gear with outputs since I will be using a Tekin Roc 412 brushless system in this rig.

This will be the first time I'll be using Axial's spur gear cover. I normally don't run a spur cover on any of my rigs (except for 1/5 scale).

I'm debating on which axles I should run on this rig. I'm thinking the Currie Rockjock axles on my JK would go really well on this new G6 Jeep.

Tower has the WB of the G6 as 12.3 just like the Rubicon. But Axial's site has the G6 at 12" on the nose. Can you confirm which it is?

Awesome work so far, Badger. What color are you thinking for the body or are doing something custom?

@godofcable, I believe it is 300mm. Can you confirm this, Badger?

Very nice! I am looking forward to treating myself to one of these. Will be a fun one "thumbsup"

I'm really liking this version of SCX10, thinking about getting this one when I get finish with my Wraith build.

This looks a lot better than the original jk IMO. Looking forward to seeing more of this build and the kit once it's out "thumbsup"

i wonder if you can add the jk fenders to this body as a direct bolt-on,

dovetailed or not it would look sweet, am i right..?

Looking forward to this build developing. Awesome job Axial on another winner "thumbsup" and congrats to Parker and RECON G6 for its own rig

The Axial website lists the wheelbase at 12" but looking at the specs the links lengths provided equal out to a 12.3" wheelbase, but they list that the kit includes 6 of each 33mm, 98mm and 106mm.

Wheelbase is 12". 98mm links front and back "thumbsup"

The (1) 106mm and (1) 33mm link are used for the steering.
