Well Lets do a little breakdown of the weekend while its still fresh in my mind. Thursday night we scouted courses for sportsman set up a couple courses close to the lower boat ramp. We wanted all of the courses this weekend within view of water so none were set near the campground.

Friday we started driving early as most of the group was there and checked in. It was pretty nice weather wise and we were able to run most of the courses without getting wet. It did rain on us but only for a short burst, this allowed an early break and we got back at it. I was unfortunate enough to have electrical failure of my esc and that ended my day. dwray held an incredible lead over the rest of the pack and was on point all day, he was able to snag the first place spot. Friday night we did a trail run that lasted deep into the night for some hardcore drivers; whiskey ended the night "early" for others.

Saturday we saw the clouds were much darker and we knew it was a matter of time. I was able to get in 2 dry courses and had to run the rest either in the rain or on a wet course all the other drivers suffered the same scenario. The sun kept coming out and teasing us and the rock quickly dried between rains but the wet dirt and the slick lichen on the rocks made things interesting. I didn't get any pictures on pro day as we were just trying to keep the score sheets dry and legible. Jrock was able once again to walk away from the pack with the lead. the rain was too heavy to do a trail run for all but the most dedicated.

Sunday we were going to set courses near the camp because we were all tired but the upper spot was chosen for the views. We had lots of vehicle failures in the super class. I broke a pin in my axle that ended my day, mammoth sheared his tangs off his front axle , scomck5 had some weird electrical gremlins that would only appear when the clock started, I think diamond d broke his rig somehow as well, and I ended my day with my 4 runner on a tow truck because it wouldn't start. we did get rain again, to a lesser degree and had to finish off super and mini in the wet. Donzx12 took the win in 1.9 and super.

After I had broke all my rigs we went and did a trail run to clear my mind and picked up the flags set from the night before. We then gave out the trophies, loaded up and headed out. We got ten minutes away to realize we had packed up jrocks cellphone and trophies. we "had" to go meet up for dinner at bills grill and see the RCP and team LERK crew off on their journey home.

Lots of highs and lows this weekend but I wouldn't change a thing. It was awesome seeing everyone again and meeting some new drivers. Next year is already in the works.

Finally home after waiting for a interesting man being escorted off the plane. Even though the weather was like it is here most of the time that rock was unforgiving when wet in spots. As always that place is just awesome. Had a awesome time and enjoyed being able to help with score input. Had a few formula issues with Excel but those are worked out and ready for next year. Thanks to Rc4wd, RCP crawlers (sandwiches were appreciated), nappahdog w/crew and all the judges and people who helped put on the event. Great to meet and talk with new and old faces. Until next year someone figure out how to knock jrock along with donzx12 and dwray off their game. "thumbsup" See you all in cali in a few months.

More of that Whiskey ought to take care of that :lmao:

Awesome weekend for sure. Not very often you can say the weather in Washington was nicer than AZ! Congrats to all the winners and a big thanks to the sponsors, judges, and everyone else that made this event a good one. I had a great time meeting a few new faces and hanging out with some good friends, can't wait till the next one!"thumbsup"

Awesome weekend. Wish the weather held out a bit better but other than that it was fun to hang out with old friends and meet some new ones as well. Big thanks to KJ for throwing the event together and getting everything lined up.
Also a big thanks to all of the judges that stepped up to help out.
1 Nappahdog
2 Delmonte
3 Randomhero
4 928Darwin
5 DiamondD
6 RudeK9
7 Dredeye
There were also others that stepped up to help like Dan Guy (Kinggee) and Randy (Mammoth) and I'm sure there were others that stepped in to help out. I apologize as I won't be able to name them all. But thanks Judges. "thumbsup"

Also another big thanks is in order to Dan Guy (Kinggee) and Randy (Mammoth) for helping out getting the scores loaded up. We all worked together to get these out as soon as possible. And again I'm sorry for some of the incorrect scores. I personally don't like it when scores get messed up and then posted. We all want to get it right the first time but it doesn't always work out like that. But overall I'm looking forward to next year already for the next shootout. "thumbsup"

And one more big thanks to all of the sponsors that stepped up as well. RC4WD, RCP crawlers, Krawler Koncepts, Y-town crawlers, Billet works designs, Fifth dimension, and Ottsix. "thumbsup"
