AZ Summer Shootout 2016

can we pay cash when we get there??;-)

Sure can!

BUT. if you sign up now and are committed to attendance it will drive interest for sponsors which will benefit the event as a whole.
Sponsors love our sport and our events, and they want to give back, but things have been lagging in the comp world.

We are trying our do our best to up attendance from last year, We have dramatically lowered the price of entry in hopes of drawing more competitors, and in hopes that cost will not drive people from dusting off the minis and supers or borrowing a friends rig to run.

We also are offering free attendance for minors in hopes to draw in the rest of the family. We are trying to simplify the process of attendance as much as possible. I put out my own money to reserve the camp, make trophies, giveaways etc. and the more capital i have before the comp the more I am able to sink back into it.

Please help make this thing happen, tell your friends about one of the best venues for rc crawling in the world. Post up in this thread, and on facebook, it helps a ton, and exposes the sport to those that may never see it.

This weekend is NARCCAs first comp of the spring series, the crew will be collaborating on how we can make this shootout the best yet.

Preview of the trophies, they will likely get updated a bit. but the general idea is there.

Tool rack. Borrowed the idea from swag offroad clutter catcher, but adapted it to RC size .

It will be CNC plasma cut aluminum and bent to shape. Hoping to be able to hang a rig on the bottom tabs, have openings for vice gips or zip ties or wires, the top should be able to hold all of the hex head tools nut drivers and picks you can handle, there are spots for needle nose pliers, wire cutters , and digital calipers.

I will probably add some more to it as ideas come to me.

Trailers will fit in these spots, I can go out there next time and measure that particular spot just to be positive

SO , back in the day you had to build TLTs to make crawlers, people used the pede transmission or cobbled together other types, but I found a transmission that was better for my application, far deeper gearing (especially with the old school 55t), longer run times and a stronger design, in fact some still use it's parts to this day in aftermarket trans for the 2.2s class.

The R2 ,was my introduction. Fast forward to today and they are again filling a void for me by coming out with the latest comp crawling axle, after we were abandoned by others. Bully 2s. Ive been running these on my pro rig since they came out.

I am a big fan their products, and they keep coming out with new products to keep our sport alive.

Please give a big round of applause to our new Title sponsor.

Thanks for sticking around RC4WD and helping to keep comp Crawlers alive. When other manufacturers have forgotten about us....

I think we are going to camp
....save us a space for our tent
looks like we will be back for the Scale Nationals too.
Watson Lake a great place to crawl

A Note on Judges: This year I would really like to avoid team format judging. Judges will receive free entry and other perks, please step up.

If we do not have at least 6 judges step up each day we will be forced to run team format judging, we will then have a finals course for each class with the top ten being judged by an event official.

Am I reading that correctly that the final is the top 10 from each class? How many pro drivers are signed up so far?

J

Well if we have a small number we will cut it off at top 5 drivers, but then again if we have a small number of us and no one steps up I will be .
