Axial Wraith speed control issue

Howdy, my new wraith with about 4 batteries through it has started to act up. If you gently apply throttle until wide open, all is well. If you smash the throttle wide open it lurches and does nothing until you release the throttle slighty and then it will take off, you can then apply full throttle.

I have "re-bound" the radio, and the speed control light goes to full red under both scenarios.

Any ideas? Thanks

Oh yeah, it does the same thing in reverse.....

You aren't the first one to have this problem. I had the same problem, but with reverse. My problem went away all on it's own.

Sorry for my english.

The problem is simple. Bad set-up ESP/Battery.

Out of the box, the ESC is activated on "auto lipo cut-off", if you are running with NIMH, it's bad !

Go to the axial website, on the tech section, look for "how to programing your ESC", and turn off the lipo cut-off fonction.

Other choice, buy lipo !

Very important, if you turn off the cut-off lipo fonction for running NIMH, and later you bye lipo, you MUST return to AUTO cut-off.

Have a nice day.

Would running nimh on the stock settings ruin the esc? mine did the same stalling until the other day when I pluged in a fresh nimh batt and I had no lights and no beeping. Maybe I can reset it? Thanks for the help

I can't see how a NiMH battery would harm the ESC.

I think Dann386 may be right about the auto lipo cut-off causing the stalling. If you're using a NiHM battery, turn off the "auto lipo cut-off".

is it possible that my batteries are so old they won't hold a good charge and the lipo cut off is keeping my esc from coming on at all? I've charged and drained the newest battery atleast 50 or 60 times
