Picked up an Old School wraith few days back. Unit has had basically everything aftermarket you can buy on it yet has seen its share of abuse and was in need of some care. All links were shot portal bearing shot. The day I got it home it was nice and quiet and actually worked well even in its time of need. Replaced axle bearings(fast eddy) all new 4 link front and rear. Redoped axles and just cleaned it up real nice. After getting it back together the thing sounds like a rocket very very loud. Tried remeshing with no luck. No matter how I set mesh it’s still very loud. LCX transmission and tenshock motor. Nothing feels binded at all great movement. Any thoughts would be awesome. Would newtons law show up at the spur gears after a 4 link swap? And can spur gears be bad enough to not mesh out? Thanks y’all

Did you change the spur or pinion? Could be one of them is a different pitch. That will cause an awful racket.

Hard to say without hearing it.

A slightly damaged pinion or spur can cause a lot of noise as well.

Is the motor still in play with the noise? If so what if you remove it and spin the transmission freely? Noise still there?
Could be a bearing somewhere.
Any grease on the transmission gears? A little goes a long way and can quiet down a lot of noise

Hmm, pics or it didn't happen! Jk, but it is somewhat hard to diagnose a basic word description. I can give you "possibilities" and such however, after you mentioned ( links ) I suspect you have a fastener sticking out through and rubbing against the spur,/pinion or you screwed the plastic trans case to the skid with too long of screws and they're rubbing up on the bottom gear in the transmission.
Have.you checked drive shaft angle?
32p gears 1
