Axial SCX10 Unimog build.

Looks good! Nice to see a good old fashioned styrene build in the age of 3D printing. It's becoming a lost art!

Thank you. I prefer to work with my hands, more satisfying to me. That, and the fact I suck at computers. (Gaming consoles are the exception)

Having said that, there are some truly awesome 3d printed builds and my hat off to those of you with the ability to use them.

New hard plastic "Wraith" seats arrived. Can start interior up again.

Mostly working on D90 today, but got some more sanding done on unimog and hit it with primer to see outside lines.

I see a few more small areas to putty and blend, but otherwise it is pretty good.

I will fix areas later, re-sand and prime again. Once good, I will move onto interior in earnest.

Ok, so I want to protect windshield incase of rollover

So I am using a plastic coated wire hanger through styrene to add strength to roll bar. I will probably thread the wire and glue/bolt down to body.

I think it looks pretty good for my first attempt. Still need a little fine tweaking, but I like it.

Rear brace, seatbelt attachment in, rear seat mounts in. Glue drying. Going to make a armrest, or cooler between rear seats.

So here is a basic view of how layout will be. I think it will work out pretty well. I need to find more wire hangers though.

So, completed rear roll cage today and got the dash in. Waiting for battery mount to arrive before I finish interior and close up the hole in the floor for battery.

So, decided on yellow. I will accent with a dark metallic gun metal color with black seats.

Not pictured, but done today are two windshield wiper motor housings, dash gauges, and steering wheel.

I will finish front of cage once all details are installed.

Scx10 II battery tray arrived. A little more cutting than anticipated to get the body over battery but easy enough to fix.

All wired up now and running. Suppose I should finish up body now...maybe.

So new chassis for unimog, sits lower and has the cantilever in back for cleaner look. Can build bed later.

The body can move forward to center wheel well, but I did not feel like adjusting bumper for pic.

My plan is to build multiple bodies for this rc frame setup.
