Another ''WraiFOFF''

Indeed it would but the 1415 isn't designed for 2S lipo, 3S would be great, 4S might be too much and i'm not sure there are many 4S packs that will fit the electronics tray.

My motor appears to be similar to the Castle 1410 series (I am under no illusion that its as good, but at $30 rather than $170 locally it had to be worth a punt ;-) )

Is a great source for what ever size battery you need.
I have found 2 3300 2s batteries fit easily. Allows 4s or switch from one to another for long trail runs on 2s.

If you really want to get nuts a 2200mah 6s fits just right.

The ones I have are nanotech.

Thanks for the feedback - life got in the way of the build documentation but I've finished this for now. Its had a test run on 2S with the ESC throttle curve set very conservatively. I wasn't sure what that motor would be like in reality, and a few gentle runs won't hurt bed the gears etc in. Speed isn't where i want it currently, but a fully charged pack and more aggressive throttle curve will be present for the next run. There's not much room for electronics, 3S is about as much as I can manage, this is with a 2S pack in..

Now reference the wheels - I bought the 12mm hex version that my supplier had in stock, part number PL2730-03, but I'm concerned that I have the wrong offset and ultimately the tyres are going to be too close to the links / hubs etc. I measured the distance from the hex hub face to the inner edge of the wheel rim and its ca 31mm. I've managed to establish that PL2729 wheel rims give 15mm wider stance (not sure whether thats each wheel, or total across the axle). I know I could use wheel wideners/extender, but I'd rather not introduce more parts (and potential slop) in the wheel axle area.

Could anyone who's used any of Prolines 2.8 wheels clarify which offset / part number they used please

This is what I put on my Wraith with no issues with the offset.
2 x Pro-Line 30 Series Desperado 2.8" Rear Nitro Wheels (2) (Black) (PRO2729-03)

Very nice looking Wraith! This wheel info is very helpful as I'm wanting to run the 2.8 Sand Paws on Wraith axles.

I bought a second set of the Proline Desperado rims, as per mfishr quote. I did buy some 5mm wider hexes but so far the 2729-03 rims and the stock Axial hex adapters give a nice track width with no clearance issues at full shock compression.

I've not tried the 2730 wheels, I've not got any tyres to mount on them for a true fit test, but I will measure the offset against the 2729 wheels i have fitted.

Thanks for the info. I found a Hobbytown earlier today in Dallas. Here for work this week, and bought some 2729's and a castle mamba max pro/1406 combo.
