I've been wanting to do a more scale build and decided to build out a Gladiator. I really wanted to use smaller 4.19" tires. After searching the Internet, I found this post by Topher Builds where he did the same. I instantly fell in love with the scale look.

Armed with that encouragement, I ordered up a straight axle conversion, tires, wheels and some other parts and started putting together my own rig.

Here's a picture of how it looked after adding the accessories listed below. I'll update the thread with later additions and pictures as I go along.

Items in this photo:

Proline Scale Recovery Tow Strap with Duffel Bag (in bed)

Looks very nice, especially the ride height and wheel/tire package!

Thanks. I've got stiffer springs on order for the rear. Even after adjusting the preload in the rears, the stock springs are a bit too soft to level it out.

Here are some more mods, focusing on the rear of the truck. Additions listed below the photo.

CCHand OEM Narrow Front Winch Bumper
RC4WD Warn Mini* Winch

* Do not order the Z-E0119 winch for this bumper. The Z-S1571 is the winch you want for this bumper. It is a direct fit after removing the bottom plate from the winch.

That's good to know. I love the fit of the winch like that. Looks great.

That bumper and winch combo is seriously cool!

Love how they tucked it inside like that.

Gladiator looks great. I've been considering doing the same for the looks. I put the SSD diff covers on the portal axles, do you know if they'll also fit the strait axles?
