I originally bought this body for Project Wroncho Rat, but I was seeing so damn many of them I decided to go another route. I ended up using an Associated Trophy Rat body on that build - similar vibe, but different, and I’ve yet to see another one on a crawler.

Anyway, I digress. Today found me bored and the weather sucking, so I dug out the PW body and stared at it. I decided screw it, and started chopping and hacking it up for the Truggy. First step was to chop those front fenders back. Who needs fenders!:lmao: Next, I scoped out the decal sheet. I was not diggin the sticker options for the grill at all. Chopped the grill area out of the body and fitted some stainless mesh. Much more to my linkin now! Finished trimming and did some test fitting. It was getting close, but the cab sat way too high for my liking. More chopping! I ended up taking nearly a 1/4” off the rockers. Test fit again and perfect. Time for color. Recently saw a rig on Insta that was sprayed with Duratrax Candy Red. Really liked it. But, I wanted it a bit deeper, more Burgundy. Sprayed the Candy Red, backed that with Gun Metal, then backed that with Black. Color turned out exactly like I wanted, which isn’t always the case with “candies”.

Liking the look of this thing now - even though there’s a lot of them out there!

It’s killler mewalsh! The Power Wagon is simply a really cool body. Hard to imagine anyone not wanting to build/paint one one at some point.

Nice paint job, it really pops

Thanks guys! The color actually looks even better in person. It’s got a bit of a metallic too it. Very deep, rich. This color combo cocktail is definitely going in the notebook.

I love that color, and like the others mentioned, it really pops!!"thumbsup""thumbsup"

Almost hate to see it get mauled on the trails:lmao:

Thanks Mike. I always think that when I’m painting them too. Then, the first scratches happen and it’s game on!

Beauty Power Wagon. Yes a lot of em out there. And yes, they mostly always look good.
Killer job joe walsh, take the Rocky Mountain Way.
More pictures please.

I love this truck. I saw it on IG. Is it on here on another thread? I feel like I remember commenting about the grille.

Who make the tube frame?

Yeah, I've been seeing this on IG as well. I love the color on this, it just pops.

I might have to hop on the Power Wagon bandwagon for my Enduro Builder's kit. There is just so much clearance all-around when you run that body with just the cab.

Thanks soze! Definitely a lot of clearance. I like the fact that you can trim it to leave as much or as little front fender as you’d like.
