The odd thing about this kid, is he wasn't your 'typical' shooter. Seemingly popular kid, Homecoming Prince, played football. This whole world is just going to shit. I wonder how long till the spouting of banning assault rifles will rear its ugly head, even though it was a handgun.

I think he was in depression and was not able to overcome it. He was expressing himself in his social media posts but it turned out ugly in the end. I read, he had a fight regarding a girl some day before the shooting took place.

So ATF says the handgun was legally obtained, yet the kid is 14. Legal age to possess federally and washington state is 18. Sounds like daddy didn't properly educate and/or lock up his firearms.

Firearm laws, especially for handguns should be more stringent. Similar to CCW training along with more lax laws for those that are properly educated, trained and repeatedly recertified... in regards to carrying and purchasing.

Washington state law doesn't apply here, kid was tribal and lived on the reservation.

They are simply stating it was a legit firearm that was owned by the dad...and the kid took.

I knew this kid, doesn't make any sense at all.....two of the kids he shot were his cousins.

I graduated from that school....the female teacher that took on the shooter is a hero, she saved others from being shot....I hope the devil has his way with that 14yr old punk and the parents as well in hell. That shooter was a pu$$y wiped little bitch, what a loser....die in hell!

The kid was 14!!!

Now I am not saying what he did was right, and his parents will answer for having the gun not locked up tight, at 14 he is smart enough to open a locked cabinet. Lots of stuff at 14 seems like the end of the world. At 14 kids have many things going on in their bodies, and only a few years earlier they were playing with dolls, and wanting to snuggle with mom and dad.

Clearly there was an issue. Not sure hoping his parents burn in hell is the right idea.

Wishing anyone harm is going a bit far. The kid at that age isn't of sound mind and body yet to premeditate for anything other than a reaction to hormones. Being in a relationship for a month is a big deal to kids at that age.

You do have to point fingers at the parents for some lack of parenting/teaching there though. The kid is certainly old enough to know better. That's not the way to handle an argument or insult or whatever this idiots excuse was. He should've known, as well as all kids these days, that you don't answer something with shooting people. However they make you feel, however you feel inside, that's not how you handle things.
