A Killer conversion for the Losi Micro Crawler & more

Got mine in today and got it installed.....one thing to note is the leafs are different front to rear. You have to make sure that you have them in the correct place or the front axle will be clock down. I found out the hard way.

Also anyone got any pics on hooking the drag link back up to the stock servo and arm? I have the servo mounted in the top and forward most holes.

All-in-all great looking chassis."thumbsup""thumbsup"...haven't got to drive it yet.

I used 2 dabs of super glue and just stuck it to the axle in the stock Location.
 
Not a stock servo or horn, but you can kind of see how I did mine in this shot......

Thats a arm that came with the servo(HS-65). It clears the bottom of the chassis. If you need some more shots of it for ideas on yours let me know.
 
just a quick question. When you install the leafs onto frame do you tighten them down or leave them loose enough to move around when the suspension articulates??

You need to leave them a bit loose so they rotate freely.

I've cured all the axle rap in the rear using the stock shocks. Used the spacers for the servo mounts on the axles leaf mounts the push out the leafs a bit. turned all the spacers on the bolts around aswell. a long bolt from the stock losi kit run threw the screw hole that holds the shock cap on and a small cross brace made from some styrene.

Without springs on the shocks it doesn't really change. The body i use is a little heavy so i threw some springs on them.

I'm using links on the front axle but I got this frame to put under my ext cab silverado and having big long lower links on the back wasen't very scale looking for me.

Oh cool, yeah looks like it flexes well! I guess you'll (me) never know until you try it! Looks good man "thumbsup"

It is designed around 1/24 4" wheel base bodies, but can be adjusted some. If it is built using the 4" wheelbase setup you shouldn't have to extend your drive lines. I am still deciding if I should offer the Blade SMC in a longer wheelbase version.

Just wanted to share a few things I found with this chassis to make it perform a good bit better. I found using the BWD wheel weights it helped a TON in allowing the truck to flex. But I knew it had more so I put lead shot in all 4 tires without foams and the extra weight really helps the chassis out ALOTTT. It helps all the tires stay planted when flexing. and definetly alows the leafs to work much better and stops some of the springyness. But other than that I think this thing is spot on.

I got my chassis today and it looks great. I have a great looking H2 body that i'm hoping fits just right. I've even made a bolt on drop trailer hitch. Pictures soon to come.

a blade how do i put it together i got the kit in the mail but i cant build it help me plz
