It's time for round 2 of the 808 Rock Race series. We return back to Pupukea where the rocks are wicked and the terrain is unforgiving.

Check-In - 9:00 AM
Race Start - 10:00 AM
Cost: Free
Classes: 1.9 & 2.2
(The main class is 1.9, but the 2.2 is there for people that might not have a 1.9 size rig)

Rules: https://goo.gl/EbVSLj
Race Numbers: https://goo.gl/b8y5Bn
Course: https://goo.gl/Blo1Ok

Race numbers are the same as the last event. If you need a race number, please take a look at what race numbers have already been taken and then let me know what number you would like. Must be between 2 and 99.

This event will be the same format as the first event with some minor tweaks. This event listing will be updated with any changes or additional information as it comes up.

Please make sure read through the rules. This is a different type of event and there are specific rules for this one.

Update 1:
There will be a couple of Photo-Op Stops along the way. The course map will be updated with their locations. At these spots, snag a photo and tag it with the sponsors and #808RockRace716 so we can track all the photos.

I just want to thank everyone again for making the 808 Rock Race - Round #2 a huge success. We were gifted with rain, but you guys made the best of it and all seemed to have smiles and laughter.

Special thanks go to Ohana RC with Erik, Mark, and Rachel who made the whole thing come together and be organized. They provided gifts for the raffle and protection from the rain for me since I'm made out of sugar.

There were a lot of great moments during the race such as seeing the Baker boys taking off from the pack early on then coming in hot to the finish line. The only thing keeping them out of first were the touches. Watching Jerry barely replace an axle before the start of the race only to snap another just after the start. He would go on to finish 4 gates in 3 wheel drive before more took him out. Watching some guys get lost on course and do the Toilet bowl only find out they were off course. Watching Brandon go submarine captain with his rig into the drink......twice....only to wind up frying a receiver. So many more great stories beyond that.

So here are the final results and some photos from the event.
Results on Event 2 Tab at the bottom: https://goo.gl/b8y5Bn

Race Stats:
42 registered drivers
37 - 1.9 class drivers
5 - 2.2 class drivers
9 Race Finishers
33 DNFs
79% attrition rate - maybe the course was a little rough, just how I like it

Damage:
I knew of 3 motors, 1 receiver, 2 knuckles, multiple suspension links, 1 controller, multiple steering servos, 2 axles, and a whole lot of scratches.

We will see you at the next one. Most likely late Oct or Nov.
