Hey folks. Just wanted to introduce myself. I got the bug a little while back and decided to run out and grab a Losi Night Crawler. Just getting acquainted with the parts, lingo and innards of these beasts.

I was surprised to see so many Vermonters on this forum. Bummed I missed the Montpelier meet.

Hope to gather some info and maybe meet up some time...once I figure out what I'm doing! :)

Scott

Well if you missed the Montpelier event, you should try and make it to the Eden event this weekend.

Good choice with a nightcrawler, I've had the pleasure of playing with a friends and find that it is extremely capable right out of the box.

Thanks MM. Unfortunately this whole weekend is screwed. But I will keep my eyes peeled for any other events/meet ups in the area, now that I know about this section of the forum.

Any recommendations for good spots to cut my teeth near us here in Barre area?

Yeah actually. There is great crawling at the East Barre dam right next to rte 302 just past the roundabout.

There is also great terrain all along brook Rd in plainfield. I try to hit up Brook Rd at least once a week. Course it's a lot more fun if your truck is waterproofed.

I'm in the process of figuring out how best to waterproof this thing. I already had the plasti-dip.

I'm familiar with the 302 area - the flying club I belong to has the field right past the dam. I'll have to check out Brook Road as well. Thanks so much for the info!

EDIT: Just to clarify. Do you mean Brook Road in Plainfield, or the road called "Plainfield Brook Road?" Sorry, new to the area.

Took a ride out to Brook Road in Plainfield. Just picked a random spot to park. Pretty fun fkr a beginner, but you'll have to give me a heads up if certain spots are better than others. I definitely have to figure out how to put the grease hole in the axle - because it was definitely getting warm, and removing It each time will be a PITA.

Thanks for the tip!

Hello Everybody,
I finally posted something.
Today I started to assemble my SCX10 Honcho. I am starting with a scx10 Jeep kit. It will have a Honcho body on it.
