801rcc 2015 Ultra4 & Trail, Event #10 "Iron County Ignition"

801RCC is dishing out chaos in traditional fashion. Ultra and Trail drivers have never imagined courses like these and crawlers have never dared put a rig through the punishment that these courses delivers. If you love driving hard, enjoy test the limits of your rig, and laugh at carnage, come join 801RCC at another Premier R/C event

  • NAME: 3 Peaks
    LOCATION: Cedar City, UT
    TERRAIN: Flowing Granite
    TRACTION: extremely high

Directions:
Head west on Hwy. U-56 from Cedar City to Lund Hwy; head north for about five miles to Mid-Valley Rd., then west for about two miles.

This popular recreation area is located about 10 miles northwest of Cedar City. The area's rolling hills and volcanic rock formations provide fantastic terrain for picnicking, camping, bike riding and off- road vehicle use. Three Peaks is a great place with outdoor activities to enjoy for every age group. It offers unique rock formations that are fun to explore.

**Up For Grabs**
  • Ultra Dog Tags: Finish with fasted over all time in either 2.2 or 1.9 Ultra class. Fly when you can but watch the penalties
    Trail Dog Tags: Out for a trail run, notice your surroundings
    Stock Dog Tags: Challenge yourself with a Stock RTR or kit car. Go for speed, or clean driving. Both will be rewarded.
    Theme Dog Tag: Driver with the best item or vehicle based on the theme of the race. Creativity might be best

**Mandatory all classes**
  • All vehicles must have a recovery strap or winch.
    ALL Vehicles must have 5 scale items, EXCLUDING mandatory strap/winch

**Not required but highly recommended**
  • A few $$ Bucks $$ for the donation box
    Prepping for wet conditions

Ultra Class Notes:
  • Ultra drivers are scored on penalties and time.
    Ultra drivers must have a timer (stopwatch, cell phone, etc)
    Ultra Drivers will scores bonuses for assisting other drivers (Must use tow strap or other items carried by the vehicle)
    Ultra drivers should have a score counter (a decent golf counter works well)

Trail Class Notes:
  • Trail drivers are scored on penalties not time.
    Time will only be used in the event of a tie.
    Trail drivers will not score bonuses for assists
    Trail drivers will have hidden bonuses (that may or may not be disclosed during the drivers meeting)

Stock Class Notes:
  • Stock drivers can go for the fastest dog tag, or the cleanest dog tag.
    Stock drivers can not score bonuses.

**Theme**
  • Theme for this event: Holloween
    All Drivers must post a pic of their rig in this thread before the day of the event
    ALL Vehicles must compete in the event with any and all items
    Voting will take place during the drivers meeting

  • Ultra Drivers 400 GATES
    Trail and Stock Drivers 200GATES

In true 801RCC fashion this will be a FREE event and is open to anyone running a "scale" rig.
 
You guys only have one event a year within 400 miles of me, and it's on a date that I can't go :cry: Someday I'll have a chance to run an 801rcc Ultra4 race...
 
The last one was loads of fun. Looking forward to this one.
Ive been crawling at 3 peaks for 2 years and still finding awesome spots out there. Great area for a run like this.
