2021 Bronco Hardbody - WildTrak Samsquanch

God I am so slow at building new rigs. I knocked the Subaru out in like 2 weeks, but this one I have just been painfully apathetic on little things that shouldn't even be a question. No matter, it's coming along and is *almost* done enough to go drive!

Chassis wiring is done thankfully and body is close to done. Went with a BXR, T35HD, servo ex-BEC (light kit is demanding) and will probably run 2 and 3S. It's pretty decent even on 2S with a 20T pinion, I may go 3S and gear down a few teeth if needed. Tucked and sleeved all the wiring as best as I canThe front inner fenders are finally done after like 6 revisions, using Knight Customs Trail Runners as the template. Took some modification due to the SOR towers and the shape of the Bronco is very different. Rears hopefully will be done sometime next week.

Interior is super basic black with 3D printed dash. I'll get a few more things in there eventually, but for now I am just going to cover the hole in the back and velcro it in.

Club5 spare tire carrier with matching spare is all mounted and the wiring for the 3rd brake light is ran. Only problem is it is EXTREMELY bright all the time, so I may need to fix that before plugging it in. Also used a hub cap from the Phoenix to cover the screw holding the spare on, even though it isn't the proper cap for the Tank wheel, but oh well. BROTATO custom Idaho plate from RC Plate Shop makes me laugh every time I see it. Couldn't have been a more perfect plate. Oh and a tow hitch, because screw departure angle. Lastly, Mythosaur signet because I didn't have any cute Bronco stickers.

Til the next one, hopefully I'll get to drive this thing after gluing in the windows and the lights.

She's a beauty! Excellent work!"thumbsup"

I need to head over to the Tube to check out the vids!

It's like waiting for good dinner to finish cooking. Usually the longer it takes, the more you enjoy it. That's definitely true in this case. The hard work on the lights and bumpers paid off.

Good things take time for sure, good news is she's done and the next video is almost edited!

i like the rallye stripes vary international

gives it that old school look

I've always loved the rallye stripes, had to incorporate them!

Do you suppose that body is heavier and more too heavy than the TRX Bronco body?

I don't have one to weigh, but I would guess it is since it's all hard plastic. The plastic parts on the TRX body might make it closer than I think though!
