Someone should pick 1 main hotel for us to all stay at. The after hours hotel parking lot shenanigans are one of the best parts of these events.

We were talking about the hotel. Last year several vehicles were broke into at the hotel where we got the event group rate at in KC. They tried to steal DarkHorses Tahoe by busting open the steering column.

That area of KC is not the best, this area of Omaha is much better. I would feel comfortable parking my car in that area.

Josh seeing your originally from Omaha what do you feel is the best Hotel. I saw the list and I have stayed in laquinta's before in other cities and wasn't impressed with them at all.

Well, there is impressed and there is cheap

If you want a budgetable hotel close to the event then the La Quinta would be fine. The Holiday Inn is literally across the street, but as Alex said, more expensive. I know a lot of guys will be looking for cheap. I have never stayed at the La Quinta but I partied there when I was in High School

I have calls into the Holiday Inn Express and La Quinta. We'll see what these guys come back with.

Omaha's Layout.
Dodge Street splits Omaha about in half.
99% of the Named streets go East to West and 99% of the numbered streets go North to South.

Basically for the "better areas" in Omaha for visitors (Some will disagree)
- Any hotels South of Dodge Street and west of 84th street should be fine.
- Any hotels North of Dodge Street and West of 90th street should be fine.

I am greatly looking forward to this event. I am trying to see if more of the Chicago (SCRC) guys are interested in attending. Either way I will be logged on at 6pm to grab a ticket, but it would be cool to not be the only one from this area. Maybe the 7-1/2 hour drive is scaring them off. I have never had the opportunity to get to Omaha, so this will be a first.

Slash high jump and long jump sounds pretty good:lol:

I figured you'd be in. Did you ever replace the chassis you broke on yours???

My last races this winter with mine will be the last weekend of February so it'll be freed up for some bashing after that. LOL

From the smell of it the Hotel in KC last year was the High School Party "Pot" I mean spot.

what day and time will tech be. and what is the difference between Pro and Amatuer class. What makes you a pro verses amatuer.

There will be 3 of us from TEXAS coming. 1430 miles round trip-Damn it

Generally if you have competed previously in more than a couple events, won, and/or are a sponsored driver you really should be competing in the Pro-Class. Tech is planned the morning of starting at 7:30AM or earlier if possible.

ALSO - For a travel option - Note that http://www.southwest.com/ is offering $59 flights from some destinations. May be cheaper for some rather than driving.

I am still checking in to getting to go and I can tell you one thing I will not be flying.Three tickets there and back was almost a grand.

That makes 10 miles to the gallon not sound that bad:lol:
