I have thought about building this tire for years and just never did. After getting my batteries recharged at ECC this year, it was time to finish some cut n shut tires I have been avoiding for years. This is one of them.

These are Super Soft Compound Panther Meat Grinders. They have been narrowed to 2" width. I used white dot Rovers for the sidewalls on these tires. So far I have only run the front pair, and...

I have only run one battery pack so far on the Crawler Innovations compound rock piles. They have done certain lines much easier than other tires and I am looking forward to really getting these broken in and tuned.

The rear pair was still curing and did not make it to the test run or pictures.

You know he was listening it while building them.

Eddie, can't wait see what cut pattern you come up!

Thank you.

What kind of rocks would you run those on?

Hopefully anything. I ran the same set of tires at every local comp this year and I finished the season in 1st. So clearly for certain regions, a one size fits all tire is possible. I ran a set of White Sedona / Red Block hybrid tires with 5.5 closed cell foams all season. However those same tires, would not work well in Alabama. With every set of tires I make and test, I learn more.

I would like a set of these maybe 1/2" narrower

Already working on it."thumbsup" Maybe you'd like some of these in the 7" tall variety?

LOL! That was such a fun weekend. I can't believe four Texans listened to 80-90's gasta rap for nearly 15 hours of driving. :lmao: Looking forward to seeing you at State Finals"thumbsup".

:oops::oops::oops::oops: I was :cry::oops:

So far, no pattern. I'm more interested in bigger pin wear and bigger pin spacing. If anything I may belt sand these to have shorter, stubbier pins. With all the side hill stuff we are seeing more and more at National Level comps, a wide fat pin may hold better than a bunch of small little ones.

2nd post has been updated with new pictures.

I ran two battery packs today and was pleasantly surprised and impressed. So far, after three battery packs they re-act similar to any pin. They slow crawl well, until a steep climb with low traction. Then it's best to get lined up and bump the throttle and keep forward motion. They track really well with wheel speed.

I noticed the outer foam wadding up to the inside of the tire in the rear only. That has not been an issue with the front. The foam massages easily back into place inside the tire, but I'm not sure if this will be an issue or not.

The tires are noisy. Kinda like a sedona grabbing for traction, these have that same sound.

I made these tires to be 5.5" tall. With the new light weight era upon us, I just don't see a need for bigger tires (in USRCCA competition). Big tires weigh more, and big tires need a little weight behind them to get them to work best. For comp trucks, I have only been using 5.5 tires for the last year. Scalers & supers are a different story:mrgreen:. So with a new fire lit up my butt (as Jeremy H so eloquently put it:ror:), I will continue to test these and other tires.

Tires look like good ol' Panther rubber. Tires are working good on the sandstone. Height and width look good too.

Open lug design may be the ticket.
