Hello,
I'm a little new to the electronics and batteries so be patient.
My question is, has anyone used a 11.4 battery for the TRX4?
Was there any trouble with using the 11.4?
I already have a 11.4 4500mah 120C for my Capra consequently I am trying to make one battery do more.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks

11.4v is what most 3S LiPo batteries are rated at, and the TRX-4 has no issues even stock with those batteries.

I've run my Defender exclusively on 3S.

Cool. I really didn't want to purchase another battery as I don't get to drive that much.
Interesting though, if I understood my local hobby shop, I thought the 11.1 was the more common battery.
Thanks for the help.

There are some listings for batteries rated at 11.4, mainly laptop or drone batteries, but the correct voltage for a 3S Lipo should be 11.1.

Each cell is 3.7V, so 2S is 3.7 x 2 = 7.4V, 3S is 3.7 x 3 = 11.1V etc.

Just make sure the ESC and battery plugs match or you might need an adapter.

11.4v is a LiHV (LiPo High Voltage) not sure if the standard esc will like it but when using it in your TRX4, just charge it with the normal LiPo balance program on your charger.

Thank you for the information. I decided to try the 11.4 in TRX with standard motor and gearing. It drove nice with no shutdowns or glitches but at the end of driving I realized I was crawling in high gear and only switched to low gear for a couple minutes then back to high gear for a couple speed runs before I quit for the day. This was the first run on the kit, but still a goof up on my part for not being in the correct crawling gear. The esc fins were hot and the motor was hot. I will give a drive this weekend with crawling in low gear and report back.
