Mine does it every once in a while but the only thing I can think of is the crappy electronics. When ever I get around to it I will switch everything out.

You can probably buy hobby grade electronics to put in there. Don't see why you couldn't.

Just picked up one of these missing a deck lid. Has anyone made a crawler using this body?

Boy this one got dug up lol. I don't know of anyone that has used it as a crawler, I will eventually turn it into a gasser style.
