I looked at many pages of posts and it looks like regular 1/24 model car kit bodies can be used on the SCX24. Is this right? I have so many model parts in this scale to build with...1/10 scale has been difficult without spending a fortune at Shapeways.

1/24 scale will work but still a bit small. 1/20 is probably right on but very limited on bodies as it’s an odd scale. Here’s a picture of a 1/24 scale gmc pickup on my scx24 chassis. I did shorten rear links to fit wheelbase and went with smaller tires too. I too have a TON of 1/24-1/25 scale kits to pick from. I will say that the difference between 1/25 and 1/24 is huge when trying to fit it to this chassis.

Thanks! I was looking at 1/20 after xtreme4x2's post and see that the options are not as good as with 1/24. Some interesting stuff though, especially in the older Jeeps. I know my LHS has some 1/20 stuff, some of the kits look like they have been there for many years. If I find one I like I might get a SCX24, I just wish it came in kit form.

That 4 wheel steering is crazy, that is a 1/24 scale? I did see a lot of that Toyota truck model on eBay. There were a lot of AMC Hornets as well lol. Thanks for the links, I just ordered a MST CMX though so I (should) hold off on another rig for now. I jumped back into RC pretty hard.

Ive always loved unimog's

I have that on my HBX devastator and love it. Tempted to try it on my SCX.

I also tried this model body before. It fits the best out of most models Ive tried. Thanks to Spoo76 who told me about 1/20 model versions.

Will the black jack body fit on the scx24?

That square body is roughly the look I wanted to go for on my SCX24. But now with the new chevy truck versions coming out, I'll just wait for one of them and customize it. WIll save me a lot off effort. Although it will not look completely as realistic as yours.

I got my RGT Swampers in today which are a direct fit (7mm hex) They really match up well with a 1:24 scale body! Good little tires.

Yes its 1/24th. I have three of them. RC4WD Mini gelande, HBX devastator unimog and the Axial SCX24.

Im not sure. I havent tried. It it does fit, it will be WAY WAY too heavy for the stock shocks IMO. You will most likely need wheel wideners OR the HBX monster truck wheels which are VERY spaced out. You will most likely need to remove the interior too. Hard to say. But I dont think it would be easy or ideal.

Waiting for more. Keep the pics coming!
Just picked up my SCX-24 on the right there, and then the junkyard of modded losi trail trekkers.. they still run. And getting back into the hobby after a couple here hiatus. Cheers, Travis
