How about some SCX24 transmission gear sets/whole transmission talk.

I just installed this RCAWD in a project . I needed a higher motor due to double bent links . I am pretty impressed on how quiet it runs . Almost silent compared to the Powerhobby 14% front overdrive trans I posted a photo of earlier.IMG_3180.jpeg

That doesn’t look like it sits the motor too much higher but pics are always deceiving.
I was expecting the MR24 to be larger because a couple people complained how high it sat the motor but my motor sits in the same spot as the stock transmission with the Furitek adapter.

With the RCAWD motor and trans you lose the stock front ESC tray . I was going to use a MOFO RC forward mount with a 130 size motor but figured I would try this one for a few dollars more and get the metal transmission .

I was able to keep a good portion of my stock servo tray along with both body mounts. I had to cut a little over half the stock esc tray to fit it. It’s actually in the same place as the stock transmission and the Unity24. I put a piece of velcro on the rest of the flat part of the esc tray to hold my receiver. The receiver sits a little further off center on the outside than the motor but you can only see that with the body off. My battery is on the stock tray in the stock spot but I attached the power switch from the Unity so it is easy to get to if I want to use it.
I’m really digging the Unity so far, the form factor is awesome and everything under the truck is so much cleaner with a hidden esc and no wires for it.
I will try to get pictures figured out to show you all.

i run the hot racing transmission in probably 6 or 7 trucks if i had to guess, its really the only transmission i run besides stock. 13% overdrive is more than enough for a well balanced rig

I ended up with the LGRP MR24 and I put the fifteen percent gearing reduction in. I read somewhere that the Meus iso axles come with a fifteen percent gearing increase which puts me at normal SCX one twenty four speeds.
After I get used to my new set up with the Cheat Code I’ll put in the fourteen percent under drive in the back axle and check that out.
My new set up is going to take a bit though. I put my motor to the rear and it hits the body and the front driveshaft is way to short now. Good thing I ordered a metal stock length front drive shaft…
I am seriously contemplating putting the motor forward and dealing with those issues instead of buying a bunch of metal driveshafts and cutting them to fit.
