JConcepts Rock Block and Bossman 1.9" 4.75" O.D. tires

The Baja Boss are near clones of the M/T Baja Boss.

A bit odd for them to use the Bossman name on the other one!

Those are the front runner for the tires I'll use on my new 1:1 build (in a 42 sticky) when we get further along. Might have to pick up a set from jc. I kinda hope they do a larger version

Mickey Thompson website says they won the 2023 King of the Hammers Every Man challenge.

And TomTom has 'em on DigDug!

(One of the few YouTube channels I still watch...)

I've wheeled with a few friends that ran the Baja Boss 40s on their rigs and they worked really well. They are supposed to start shipping the 42s and 44s this month last i heard. We'll see what's available when the time comes. We are still likely a year out from my new build being finished.

Why the heck would SORRCA ban that? Looks scalish to me. That is such a dumb freakin group. So glad my local group doesnt run that crap set of rules.

I ran the 37s on my JLUR for about 38k miles. Swapped to the AT version this time because the Jeep is driven way more on highway now. ATs are obviously quieter and do better in wet and snow but the MTs were great.

I have a set of the Axial Baja Bosses and the compound sucks but theyre on a shelf queen so i dont care.

Side track - my only real life random tire failure was a Mickey Thompson deegan at so I can never run a Mickey again. I have also wheeled bfg km2 and Goodyear mtr both have had sidewalls wrecked off-road. My only cleanly wheeled to completion set of tires that never let me down maxxis bighorn. Carry on tire folks

So siping disqualifies them....Idiots.
They're clowns that pick and choose what is legal, sometimes seemingly randomly and without rhyme or reason. Definitely without any sense. In the end, like ROAR, all they do is prevent innovation in their tiny niche. Thankfully, most everybody gave up on SORRCA a long time ago and switched to SORRCA Lite or some other rule set with more common sense.

I get (but dont agree with) banning the Megalithics because they do not look scale, but these look like they could be a real tire. They just have large siping.

Idiots. No wonder scale nationals died. Im so glad my local group doesnt play by their rules.

Agreed on all accounts. The Megalithics don't look scale, but these certainly do. This picking and choosing kills hobbies. Too many rules are never a good thing.

Exocaged seems really impressed with the Bossmans and they did good in his video. At the moment I don't really need any more tires so I don't plan on buying any. That is of course subject to change if I see them in action locally.

I know I keep going back to the SORRCA thing, but I'm looking at these closely trying to figure wtf they are talking about. I quit following their group a while back due to the stupidity...I'm guessing it is not the siping, it is the area between the outer and inner lug? The outer lug looks like it is stepped and does not go all the way down to the carcass? Like a wear line on a 1:1?

I have no idea how you can stand to watch Exocaged! :ROFLMAO:

They are calling the Bossman a voided lug tire because of that tiny-ass ridge that runs around the perimeter of each tread block. It's an asinine stretch to call this a voided-lug tire. Thankfully, even the most diehard SORRCA fans seem to be pushing back on this stupidity.

Agreed. JConcepts does tire compounds very well. I guess their years of racing experience paid off. I just hope they keep improving their designs. The Tusks look and work great. I'll trade the cheaper price for the lack of licensing. My scale tires don't need to say BFG, Goodyear, Yokomo, etc.

That tiny little ridge will be worn off in a couple hours of runtime. Idiots. I saw another semi local group abandon SORRCA rules yesterday.

I have no idea how you can stand to watch Exocaged! :ROFLMAO:
I can only stand small doses and only the tire review videos. Not too many choices for that. He's easier to watch than Crawler Canyon.
