This is a build I have been working on this winter. Picked up the kit back in spring, i think. I like that GMade produces kits. The BOM caught my interest back at it's launch but I was slow to get to it. I have been slowly accruing aluminum option upgrades to work into the build
This version is the GS02f, it's the second generation model of the BOM and features the transfer case and forward mounted motor. The transmission also has a built in overdrive and 2 speed shifter. The BOM is unique from the other GS02 rigs by the way of it's rear cantilever suspension and caged bed. For this build my plan is to ditch the plastic cage and braze my own out of 3/16ths tube.
This is the box it comes in:
Started by building the axles. The plastics are a nice hard nylon
I added some GMade/Junfac alum option parts
All of the hardware for the entire kit comes in one big bag. Within that bag are well-labelled small bags with each different size piece. It's takes some getting used to digging out all of the screws as you need them. They are well labelled and so the process is simple, it just takes more time and slows the build process. Once I got into the flow of it I quite enjoyed the process

One of the more interesting aspects of this build is the rear cantilever suspension. The suspension here is set up with the softer springs both front and rear. I also added aluminum option parts here
The JUNFAC steel driveshafts seen here are also an option part.
Here is the Transmission mounted into the chassis. It's not pretty. Would be nice to see a greater level of detailing in the housing. The motor is forward, but sits above the chassis rails. It is no VFD, this is for sure.
The front shock hoops are SSD parts designed for the SCX10.2. They bolt right up
Paint and Cage work coming up...
Thanks for checking it out"thumbsup"
