Hello fellow hobby-mates,
This is my very first thread here, even though I’ve been reading the forum for nearly a year at the moment.
In the past, I did scale models of different sorts (naval crafts mainly), but always static stuff, never meant to be functional.
I’ve been watching rock crawling videos for a long time, so last December I finally decided to give it a chance. I didn’t want to spend a huge amount of money on my first rig, so last year I acquired a very inexpensive chinese 1/12 MN-90, with a second body shell.
The intention was to use the original body to apply some details and a nice bodypaint. (strongly inspired by @donaldsneffe ’s 2019 build)

With the second body shell, I’ve cutted several parts to convert it to a Land Rover Series IIA using styrene sheets.

This really was a stepping stone for my beginner experience; At this point I knew I could do something more elaborate with it.

After this personal success, I am now building a propper 1/10, so I'll publish something about it at some point.
