stretching 1.9 tires to fit 2.2 wheels

I have a 6 1.9 flatiron tires laying around that I was going to use for a C1 build but I have decided to go with a 1.55 wheel and tire set up. I have seen people with 1.9's on 2.2 wheels and since I have a spare set of Axial 2.2's also I thought maybe I will just stretch them on for giggles.
So before I run blindly in to what seems straight forward and screw something up I figure I would ask the pros first. I did do a search on this site and got no matches.
What is the actual process of streaching the tires on?
Is it better to use external or internal bead locks?
Am I wasting my time with flatirons?
do I use the 1.9 foams or 2.2?

Axial 2.2 beadlocks are so wide, I think 1.9 flat irons would look really stupid, but of course that's only my opinion.

ive put 1.9 super swampers on 2.2 proline 6 shooter wheels , they worked great but when i switched back to 1.9 they were hard to get the bead to stay

I got bored and tried it with one. It was really easy actually. Slid the wheel itself inside the tire then put one beadlock screw in at a time a few turns in while pulling the bead of the tire out and worked my way around the wheel until all the screws where in then tightened them all down. Really wasn't much harder than mounting same size wheels and tires. Not sure if im going to do all 4 but I do need stiffer foams. There is excessive sidewall roll. Pics compare it to stock 1.9 ripsaw

So what do Y'all think? I opened up the tire and found out that it had a really butchered up "star" cut foam in it. I got these tires second hand and never checked the foams but I have 4 good and 2 crap foams.
What really sucks is that beadlock ring is the only one like it I have. Its not the Axial one. This one has a lip running around the inside edge. I have an Axial one and then I have some other simular beadlock rings but the bolt pattern is smaller. They also have countersunk screw holes and go to wheels that the beadlock bolts on the out side only. The back one is a sleeve that goes into the wheel. Sucks even more because I have 3 of those. At first glance I thought I had at least 5 matching beadlock rings but nope I don't. Can't win for losing I guess. Well if I put the other 3 on I guess I can use stock Ax10 rings for now. I have too dang many of those.

Do you know the height of this set up? I was wondering if it made the tire height closer to 4.5''?

Update i forgot about this post. I tested the set up with 4 Flatirons and I put the ripsaws back on. I was not impressed. I need to just find some good 1.9 beadlock wheels and better foams for the ripsaws and boil them off the stock wheels.
