Gettin' Southern Showdown! ~OCOEE WHITE WATER CENTER~

Where: The Ocoee White Water Center, Copper hill TN
When: October 18-19

Inspired by the Southern Cup challenge from back in the day, I am resurrecting the idea of having a team style comp based on what state you are from.

-Competition rules/guidelines
Each driver will sign up individually, and will specify what State Team they want to represent.

Each driver will compete as they normally do, of course will not prevent you from helping people from your own state. If you feel the need to help someone from another state that is on you. At the end of the day we will run a normal top 5 finals course. When all the scores are in each driver will get points for their position like in sports on TV.

Example- Each driver is assigned points at the END of the day.
1st place- 1 point
2nd place 2 points
3rd place 3 points
4th place 4 points
.... etc..


STATE TEAMS
To qualify as your state for the title State Teams will need a minimum of 3 drivers. Scores will be based on the the states Top 5 Drivers from the state. Vacant slots may be filled by Wild Card drivers (Solo Drivers not on a Team). If no wildcard is available vacant slots will be given a DNF (Tied for last place for the day)
State Teams will be required to build their own course and judge their own course for the entire day.

Wildcard drivers are drivers that do not have enough drivers competing from their state. States with vacants slots will be assigned either wildcard or vacant slots by a name raffle on comp day before we start.


Being that this is my first big event, I will be receiving help from more experienced people to make this go as smoothly as possible and as much fun as possible for everyone, so I am hoping to make this a NATIONALS Qualifier, if the interest is there. Going to have this event on event brite, more info on that as time passes "thumbsup"

Team Tedrockz payout!
Steve has offered up a cash prize to the top 3 drivers of this event in 2.2 pro competition, as well as the overall top team. They are as follows:

1st place- $250
2nd place- $150
3rd place- $100

$100 Dollars to the #1 team, or state of the day. That team can do with it what they please. Fight over it, crawl for it, or donate it. Completely up to them.

Class info

2.2S will be either Friday or Sunday, whichever the majority of you choose to do. Top 3 drivers receive a trophy, no teams or anything like that.

Entry fee will be based on # of people who want to run it. Price will not include a Tshirt

2.2P will of course be on Saturday. Top 3 drivers will receive trophies as well as cash.

Entry fee will include 1x 2.2p ticket and 1x Tshirt for each driver. 2.2S will be extra.

Lovin the interest so far!! Every state is welcome!!! I am going to edit my second post with class info and how we will combine sportsman and 2.2p. Id like to keep it to just those two classes if thats possible. More info is coming soon!

EDIT: halloween is on a thursday this year. How about the weekend before? 25-26 friday and saturday?

Will see what we can do, being so soon after nats may be an issue, hopefully not. I have always wanted to go to that place, the first ecc there was before my time.

That's a good date because i think the water is off on the weekends that late in the month.
