hey all i would like to get into rock crawling but woulkd like the truck to have sone speed i already own a traxxas stampede seeing as i am only 13 i dont have a job and do no have alot of money to spend i would like a cheap but durable truck with ait of speed as mentioned i would like an opinion on what to buy thanks foir all your replies CHEERS! "thumbsup"

I agree this hobby isn't cheap but I would suggest running axial scx10 axles on 1.9's. It might not seem as cool as a big wraith on 2.2's but its going to take less power to go fast, need less upgrades to be durable and you can get by with a budget servo. Also it seems nice to piece together a truck because you don't need to buy everything at once but in the end its not usually that much cheaper than buying a KIT honcho.

Thanks for the suggestions also looking at the axial ridgecrest seeing as my friend has a wraith they are quite closely related i here any possitives or negatives would be helpful or any other suggestions are greatly appriciated

Just buy the AR60 (Wraith and Ridgecrest) axles and a chassis that you like, Axial trans, MIP drives hafts and some threaded rod and Traxxas rod ends and you're done!
It'll be more durable than either platform out of the box and a little more unique.

Here's 2 of mine.

best advice for wiring is get a very good soldering iron and quality solder.
You can find everything you need to know here on RCC. "thumbsup"
