A Killer conversion for the Losi Micro Crawler & more

So the pen diameter is the same? You don't have to make the hole bigger or anything even though the male is square in shape?

Scalelover posted a very good picture of how it works and i hope he dosen't mind me posting it here

Exactly what Ratboy said. Here it was a few weeks ago before I dismantled it to start workin' on mounting the leafs(thanks Chameleonkid!)

Hope this helps. Any more pics needed, just ask. I used pipe cutters(those little things that you twist the pipe in to get an even cut) and then used a hand drill to open up the hole more, then hot glued each end into it and made it black, to look better with the chassis. Not perfectly straight the female end was in but it works. Then just connect up to the shafts and its all good. Of course mine is much longer than anyone else's will probably be(besides Ratboy and his Silverado ) but it gets the main point across. Blade, the chassis looks great but I won't be buying one ;) sorry man!

Thanks for the info

Same basic method using aluminum tubing, I think the size was 9/32

cut the female end in half and re-glue into each end of the tube

No problem. And linx, it will work at stock diameter but I drilled out one end wider to make the female end slide in, then used hot glue to secure it and for the male end, chopped it up to the end right before it goes to the male end, so just a little bit of the driveshaft left over, then glue it onto the end this way it can telescope(the driveshaft) but still work fine. Dog's way works too but I'm pretty sure everyone has a BIC pen in their house(I used a similar pen, one of those free-bee's that you get at random events but essentially the same)

Mine showed up yesterday.

Went together w/o any issues. Have to do the electronic's yet, To say that I am impressed is an "Under-statement". "thumbsup"

Awesome chassis. "thumbsup"

Just ordered on of my own for either my jeep wrangler or my commando dunno yet might have to get 2 but quick question I kno if I boiled my leafs I made in tech they made the delrin flex more could I do that with these leafs or would I get axle wrap affect like a 1:1 if it works u could achieve more flex out the leafs

They are already as thin as possible, and you do get some axle rap but I and others have added lower anti wrap links to the rear axle and it takes care of any wrapping. The Losi Mini t rod ends and 2-56 threaded rod are great to use to make the links and look cool. So I dont know if you will need to boil them but if you do I would be curious to see what it does.

Got mine yesterday and got it together I am just having a steering issue the servo arm is binding on the chasis when I turn left but other than that it's great I have the whole bwd weight kit on my wheels and it flexes pretty good I was really surprised. But I am getting some axle wrap I was already workin on some links to fix that tho

I broke my stock servo arm on my micro a while ago so I cant remember exactly how I had it setup, What holes are you using to mount your servo the upper or lower?
