Default I've molested yet ANOTHER hornet :)

I couldn't resist... not too bad for a two-evening build

it's raining outside right now but I'll get better pics as soon as the weather permits it.

use stampede front knuckles and axles... only slight trimming is needed to fit them and then you can use any 12mm wheel.

First question. Is the rising fighter the same dimentions and does it use the same parts for the most part?

Second question. Is that just the Tamiya f-150 race truck body?

Im thinking of doing one of these. My brother is doing an all out trophy truck with his old associated GT. He is going to run a WK axle off the back with my old duratrax tranny that I fitted a traxxas shaft mount on. All my cars go under 4mph, so I want to build something that can go with his new toy, or atleast try. I am a huge scale freak so this is right up my alley. Thanks for the inpiration

I fricken love it!

So how well does it drive? I'd think the larger front wheel's would help to get it to go in the direction you tell it. Seem's Hornets allways have a mind of there own. Gonna replace the 540 with somthing?

This reminds me of the 1980's Tyco Baja Bandit, just need a Nissan King Cab body.

You do the coolest builds all the time Makes me want to do one like you just did and one like stangkillaSS did and run them together with one of my buddies. I already have all the stuff for the one Stang did. I hope all is well Any chance of any Body off pics?

Looks awesome!

BTW, the Rising Fighter, is not exactly the same

Check out the pic of the RF chassis & gearbox. Updated mounting locations for the suspension as compared to The Hornet/Grasshopper chassis
