H-R power axle MOA build/slingshot chassis
did my first moa build, and it went pretty smooth. now i just need to get it on the rocks. but no, it had to snow today :-( so I'll get it on the rocks mid week. here's a list of what i had to work with
H-R power axles DNA slingshot chassis losi crawler shocks jr 8711 steering servo tekin fx-r speed control tekin 45t motors mayhem double phattys panther tires spektrum dx3r lipo powered along with this build i used ckrc high steer knuckles, ckrc 4-link set for the H-R axles and Fubar lockouts. built the electronics on a removable tray by just unplugging the motors and steering servo. dig switches,rx and speed control are one unit like a circuit board. notice how it all sits below the top of the chassis for low c.o.g. here are some flex shots and a final shot with the new lid, looking forward to the comments and advice. thanx rokpile here it is with my mini gc2 mrc Last edited by Rokpile; 03-09-2009 at 08:08 PM. |

Looks good, same setup I am running.
Little tip for you, run your rear uppers in the upper chassis hole, it gets your anti-squat more correct. What center clearance are you running? |

yep, they are the stock body post off my axial. i just took a razor blade and notched out the center,drilled a hole slid them over my chassis and used a short 3mm bolt. also used the stock body stop and pins as well.

thanks for the advice i appreciate it a lot. i'm making new rear upper links tonight to help roll my rear end a little more and get that extra 1/4" to legal max length. and i will raise em and try it. have you found an upgrade for axles, i tested mine and had to tight of turn radius set and snapped one. looking for something stronger if anyone can help. thanks

I have not seen a walk through of the mod, but I can tell you that the inner axles are identical, EXCEPT for the length. You will need to shorten the Berg inners to the the same length as the HR. After you do that you will need to regrind the flats onto the inner since you cut them off to shorten the shaft. Make any sense?
