That looks like a BEAST!
What do you have powering this thing? EDIT:Never mind the question. I read what you have in it in Snoopmax's thread. I think it looks great with the black all over. any chance we can get a vid? Last edited by rock-er; 02-19-2009 at 05:06 PM. |

new motor
i got a side winder 5700 kv brushless & matching esc. took it out for a night test with the stock wheels & tires absolutly amazing. im guessin 45 mph easy. stock tranny seams fine, but i think my diffs r havin troubles cause i get a real bad clicking when i really hit it.:

I am looking at getting that same motor and esc, but I was worried about it getting hot. Have you had any problems overheating? Does it have too much power to control what your doing?

Nice looking Truck. I'll have to set mine up like that. We have relatives In Surf City and Topsail and we're coming down the first two weeks of August. This gives me a great idea of something to do at the beach.

No need to guess
It is the twin idler gear in the tranny I is assembled with a spring and acts like a slipper You have a few options to solve it 1: steel gears from RC4WD or CKRC I made my own gears 2: lock the idler gears together so they wont slip 3: replace the plastic gears every week I now use a ´Pede VXL tranny it has steel gears as stock Ooh and this is my WK with Jug2 axles I replaced nearly all of the parts on my WK and then reassembled it again LOL P.Ss Shoot a vid soon |

took it out on the beach 4 a true test. it handled very nice on the sand, but it was a handfull last night on the road with the big wheels on it. my tranny only lasted 15 min tho. wont even move now. i knew it was goin 2 happen, but as always do stuff ass backwards. so im ordering the steel gear set and heavy-duty final drives. if u have open terrain i highly recommend this set up. the esc is completely customizable on a pc. the 15 min it did run blew my mind STUPID FAST!!! i shot a little video and ill try to have it up on u-tube 2nite
