Been talking with Dan from Finishline R/C.. we will be working together on converting the "foam course" into a tank trap type run with mud holes and hill climbs and such - we are still working on the details and will get the ball rolling tomorrow. Im working on the Frame twister and will be working on a mud run later! Any materials you can donate or labor to help out would be much appreciated! so we can get this done in time!

Stole these from another thread:
Events Mud Bog - Track dimensions are 5’ wide by 10’ long. - Each vehicle will have 3 minutes to complete the track. - Truck obtaining furthest distance from starting point will be the winner. - If two or more vehicles complete the entire length of the track then the scoring will be determined by fastest completion time. - Distance or time will be used to score remaining vehicles Hill Climb - Gate markers will be used to lay out a course. Gate marker spacing is 20”. - 5 second penalty for hitting a gate marker. Gate markers are always live. - Truck to make it furthest up the hill in 1 minute wins. - Distance or time will be used to score remaining vehicles.. - If two or more trucks complete the hill then the fastest completion time will determine winner. Obstacle Course - Gate markers using 20” spacing will be used to create a course that uses jumps, hills, water crossings etc… Boundary markers can be used as needed. - 5 second penalty for hitting a gate marker. Gate markers are always live. - Fastest truck to complete the course wins. - Time will be used to place remaining trucks. Truck Pull - Track dimensions are 5’ wide by 30’ long. - Track can be flat or sloped. - Each vehicle will be timed and have a 30 second time limit. - Truck to pull trailer further from starting point will win. - If two or more trucks pull entire track length time can be used to declare winner or a pull off can be done. - Distance or time will be used to score remaining vehicles. Tank Trap - Technical course created using extreme off camber obstacles, elevation changes and the occasional water hole. - Gate markers may be used to clarify course layout. - 5 second time penalty for touching a gate marker. - Fastest truck to complete the course wins. - 5 minute time limit. - Trucks exceeding 5 minutes receive 0 points. Event Scoring Each course will be scored seperately then combined for the final results... we will have a couple of trophies... Top Truck 1.9 Top Truck 2.2 1st Loser and 2nd Loser Trophies will presents as well. |

Yeah.. talking with dan now.. im planning on getting started tomorrow, time is unknown.. tryin to stop by sunday to get some serious work done for a couple hours.. The hill climb may actually be quite evil! as with the obsticle course! mud run and tank trap are under design and the frame twister as well.. i have to find some branches.... anyone got any tree limbs layin around? about 2"s in diameter and maybe 2 feet long.. bout 6-8 of em? ill be watching last years top truck challeng tonight for further insperation! *insert evil laugh here*
i have also put in for vendor sponsors, free stuff, free advertising and such. This is going to be sick! |

and... you do not have to be waterproof to run, somewhat water resistant would be a GREAT idea, but the tank trap - without being water proof.. i think i would pass.. any course that you do not run on - you will get a zero for a score and stand that much less of a chance to win. there will be a bunch of mud... some of it deap.. but there will not be any (maybe some shallow) water spots on the obsticle course and the hill climb will obviously be dry
