Default Red's KK 4.0 Berg build...

ive had this done a for a couple weeks now and thought id post a few picsim still fine tuning it to my liking, but over all i LOVE itparts list...

KK 4.0 chassis and skid
KK high clearance delrin links
KK steering
KK dig tray
55t V10's
Mamba Max
CC bec
Hitec 5955 servo
Hites hs55 dig servo
Mayhem 7's berg offset (ive also got a black set that will be on soon)
HB Rovers
Losi Crawler shocks w/traxxas rod ends

ive made a couple small changes since the pics above...mainly clocked the front axle and lowered it a little. i had a shaft slide out at the last comp and screwed up my locker. ive got the new locker, but im still waiting on CKRC's rear straight axle kit more pics to come...

had the same problem with my locker, i put a small ring(1/16in) of fuel tube between the outter and inner shaft and it took up the slop

Does anyone have pics of what are you talking about ? i'm in the middle of a build, i've installed a straight axle in the rear, do i still need to address a potential problem ?

i think your ok if you have the straight axles. i swapped the axial stubs over and thought i didnt need the o rings. wrong! the o rings in the cups should take care of the problem. that reminds me...ive still got to put them in the front

finally got the rear back together. this CKRC lockout kit is very nice! it shaved .7 oz of weight off the rear end. the only problem i ran into was i had to shorten the short side shaft about 1/16". other than that minor problem its a great kit!

Looks good. Truck is working great. If you can find some Berg ball ends they fit in the Losi shocks so their is no need for fuel tubing.

How do you like the panthers vs rovers??

thanks Ryan. actually, i did use the berg ball ands with the rubber o rings after you recommended i should do it a couple weeks ago. it does seem to be a little smoother...and better looking.

as for the tires....the rovers seem to have a little more forward bite than the panthers...especially on med. to low traction surfaces. the rovers dont side hill as well as the panthers do. the lack of sidehill ability cost me a gate at the last comp:neutral:im still playing with the foams on the panthers though...

3" with the panthers and 3 1/8" with the rovers.
