IMO it needs the rocker panels trimmed up a bit to add some clearance, basically making the boatsides about a 15*angle from the chassis to the body, it will be getting a SMW skidplate, Ti links, and might carefully remove some tube to lighten it up a bit, beef up the axles and then we will see what happens.
It is going to be mental torture removing some tubing considering the time and skill that distinctive put into it.8)

I hear ya on the mental torture part.. I don't wanna change a damn thing on my new to me xj.

What's the reason behind flipping the rear axle?

The build looks great! Can't wait to see more progress.

You're torturing me with with your Caddie too.

I believe it's because he had a front VP truss/ULM that was on the rear and the rear driveshaft would not work if the axle was the standard set up, pumpkin on driver side.
The rig is completely torn apart as of now and will be getting a rebuild with my own touch of stupidity or ingenuity.:ror:

It has been my experience that along with the rest of the rig setup right for crawling. . ..flipping the rear axle to opposite side of tranny output also "helps" eliminate torque twist as long as there is no binding in the drive shaft. That is the gist of it anyway. "thumbsup"
