Decided to do something else with my last project i had built (monkeynutz) and tore it down to the ground. In the process i also rebuilt both diffs, x4 shocks, etc...

Moving the skidplate back 1 1/4" allowing for me to use the wraith front links keeping the wheelbase the same as stock form. Unlike the past whereas i had to use scx10 upper/lower links in the front which threw everything off, and made the axle move unnatural?

Slapped my Tekin 13.5t back into it (had the kyosho magmayhem 19t).
Now that i got this rig where i want it, i can now build it up from here so ill probably end up buying some alloy shock towers to keep it a touch stonger at these points. I just dont trust these nylon things currently on the frame.

not such good pics but got workin on this rig again today....

fabbed some supports at the cab, got the electrics installed, mounted the battery, soforth...
Now i need to start on the custom body panels which will consist of only a firewall section that will cover the lipo, and a few things such as the back cab and roof. The only downfall to this project right now is the shock towers as they are to short. I need something taller to allow for this thing to sit lower, ill get to that later in the build.
The good part of this build now is that everthing lines up the way it should, originally i still had the scx10 frame and wraith skid but i had to use scx10 front links which threw the axle wrong anyhow.

Firewall started which portects the lipo (using velcro straps & bracket tied to chassis)
No front body clip required.

moving onto the firewall and beginning to give it some shape (rough stages of course...)

installed master brake and clutch cylinder..needs to be cleaned up and detailed aswel as resevoir's installed onto them.
Radiator mounted to chassis.

pretty close to starting the body...what is seen right now is simply the underskirt to allow for panels to be mounted to, then onto bodywork. Sooo much to do, so little time it seems! lol

As it stands right now, the panels seen on the truck are only an inner-skirt which will allow for me to either mke my own shell or mount something off a body like a Hilux or Clod styrene.

working on the cylinder heads and valve covers right now for this new engine!
this part of the build is finnicky and more fitting is required but with small pre-cut parts.

managed to get back into the RC scene after being pulled from work for mental illness! (my damn issues have issues!) lol

Painted the valve covers and intake manifold:

I know the feeling man just don't joke with the dr n say your not suicidal your homicidal they get real itchy to call the people with high power drugs and straight jackets.

All joking aside killer build and I feel your pain with the mental part I take 2 drugs to keep me level after I fell 17ft 5 years ago

Sent from my iPhone in the shop

thanks, finally got a return to work starting sept! :D

as for the build, ive just ordered a Hilux cab to fab for this thing. Not sure how long itll be??
says its in stock but how long itll take is beyond me? excited to get to work on this.

I was honestly a little on the fence about it till i got to the pic with the green engine block. That thing brings the space up front into perspective. Keep up with all the nice detail work!

yeah...its gone through a few tranformations until i got it were i liked it.
Still alot to do to this rig such as front end work along with fender wells, etc..

the part that i wont get til until next spring is tube work on the rear end.

thanks for looking! :D

ordered the front grille and got a start on the door jams.
What a piss off though....i know i had a grille for this Hilux but cant find it now! go figure?? :p
