I’m in the process of assembling a Vanquish VRD carbon and I’m looking for some advice on selecting the right size rims, tires, hubs and what ever other tidbits that are required for correct fit and function. There are so many variables to choose from. I did contact Vanquish and have never received a reply to my email and they don’t answer the phone.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Sadly, this really comes down to.... What you wanna do with it?

Personally, I'm running a setup that I really like at the moment.

Rims:
Method 105 (1.9"):

Hubs:

Rear: https://www.vanquishproducts.com/slw-350-wheel-hub-black-anodized/
Rear: https://www.amainhobbies.com/vanqui...-hub-set-black-2-0.350-width-vps07112/p387633

Tire Foams:

Rear: https://www.vanquishproducts.com/vts-stance-4-75-dual-stage-foam/

JConcepts Rupture tires:

1.0" brass front wheel rings:

Extra Front wheel ring weights:

Note: On the wheel rings and hubs. I run brass up front, also wrapped with one layer of the Harbor Freight wheel weights I forget how many, but I run a single strip of them around the middle of the outside of wheel ring. If you space them out just a bit (think like 1/8") you'll use a full strip and I think 3 more of another strip. I run the regular wheel rings from the Method rims in the rear, with no additional weight. Run Brass hubs up front, and Aluminum in the rear.

More details on the entire build here, if you're curious:

As far as wheels go, 1.9 is by far the most common size. Due to the portals, you can run into some fitment issues with some beadlock wheels, but thats mainly a problem if you want to keep your track width under ~9.75". Some wheels have different offsets and some split in different places so the hubs you will need (or can get away with) are going to be different depending on the wheel. Vanquish wheels run the SLW hub pattern. The vast majority of 1.9 beadlocks out there use that same 6 bolt pattern so if you dont want to fork out Vanquish money for hubs, there are tons of hubs available on ebay/Amazon. Those will use metric hardware instead of SAE.

Tires are a personal preference and which ones you should choose varies depending on terrain and use. 4.75" is a very common size. JConcepts Tusks are very popular right now for good reason.

Almost all tires come with foam inserts. They'll work but a good set of dual stage foams or 3d printed inserts tuned for your rigs weight will be significantly better.

That's a great looking build you have! And thanks for the advise.
On the front you indicate brass hubs that go on the backside of the wheel and on the back show the black anodized hubs. Does not both the front and back wheels get the anodized hubs to finish of the wheel?

Thanks!

It's nothing that really shows all that much to be honest, not in my now current config that is.

With the massive knuckle / portal outside covers I have on my VRD Carbon, you can't even see the hubs on the backside really.
As for the front side, I chose to grab some "Scale points" and run some scale hub covers from https://www.lockeduprc.com/scale-hubs.html

And from the outside looking in, you really can't see much of a difference. Honestly, it's nothing a small coat of black paint can't fix, but I feel it's not worth my time.
